Diary of an Ice Cream Van Man. Mr Russell Watkyn, who worked for Lyons Maid Ice Cream Company (1950-1985) took photos of the men he’d meet on his route. He’d document his work in a collection of 28 photo albums. Here are two that I was allowed to take pictures of. Courtesy Bishopsgate Institute.

‘Das ist ja zum PEEPen’ (which is a play on words and translates to ‘That’s Hilarious’ in German) by Elisabeth B., pub. 1983. In 1980 photographer Elisabeth manages to get a hidden camera and herself into a notorious Times Square peep show booth and was able to document the punters.
