To cheer ourselves, we devised the "carbon resistance" in which we will sequestered as much carbon as possible under the soil fertility umbrella: "Make America's Soils Great Again"

Experimental warming and drying increase the age of C in soil CO2 flux in tropical forest - via different mechanisms!Warming increased decomposition ==> older soil C losses. Drying reduced microbial access to new plant carbon inputs. Read more in our paper with @daniela7cusack.bsky.social &others
