I invented a really stupid addition algorithm. To add two numbers, x and y: 1. look at the clock 2. wait x seconds 3. wait y seconds 4. look at the clock 5. see how many seconds elapsed between 1 and 4 Extending this to negative numbers is left as an exercise to the reader.
