Ferrari’s livery for the US GP. Not a fan of one-off liveries but have to admit the engine doodle is a cool idea. Not that you’ll really see it on track.

🔢 Camara's 2027 race number 🗣️ His thoughts on former rival Kimi Antonelli's meteoric rise 📝 Haas' plans for Oliver Bearman 🤔 What it means for Jack Doohan's future All that and more in this round up of all the most interesting lines from media sessions with Ayao Komatsu and Rafa Camara today ✍️

express.co.uk7 things we learned about new F1 driver including number and Antonelli historyWe spoke with Rafael Camara and boss Ayao Komatsu after Haas confirmed him as their new F1 driver.

No formal announcement yet about Oliver Bearman's future, but Ayao Komatsu just confirmed to us that he "would like to continue" with Ollie next year and that it is a case of ironing out finer details on a contract extension.

New five-year deal for Red Bull Racing team principal and chief executive Laurent Mekies, keeping him in those posts until 2031. “Continuity in leadership is a key ingredient for sustained success,” said sporting projects boss Oliver Mintzlaff.

New F1 meme unlocked, courtesy of Sergio Perez who was in the media pen at the time of the McLaren collision and this was his response after watching the replays 😂

Carlos Sainz unhappy to have been left without as much power as some others for a 27-second period in SQ1. He said: "For whatever reason, the FIA were happy to do half of the cars in quali with higher power than the other half of the cars." The FIA said a "human error" saw some cars disadvantaged.

Today's print column: F1 keeps kicking the can down the road, but racing in Qatar or Abu Dhabi is a risk that the sport simply does not need to take. Yes, millions in revenue will be lost by switching to the Imola backup plan but, if things go wrong in the Middle East, the cost will be far higher.

Pleased to see Lando Norris apologise for what he said. It was the heat of the moment, sure, but regardless it was deeply unfair of him to suggest Franco Colapinto didn't deserve to be in F1. He's now walked that back and said he has spoken with Franco privately to clear up the matter.

A non-F1 piece to bang the drum a bit for Ash Sutton after he confirmed his record-breaking fifth BTCC title this weekend. The fact I couldn’t find his name anywhere despite searching the 2026 BBC SPOTY odds lists of several major betting sites shows just how unfair these popularity contests are.

express.co.ukBBC SPOTY must recognise British sporting hero who made history this weekendOPINION - It's a travesty that this British sporting hero doesn't even have odds for the BBC prize this year.

Disappointed, but not remotely surprised, to see Lando become the latest victim of these idiots. FWIW, I thought Lando's comments about Franco immediately after the race, when he was still seeing red, were harsh. But, in turn, the sadly predictable torrent of abuse directed at Norris is abhorrent.

18-year-old Brit Freddie Slater will step up to Formula 2 next year after missing out on the F3 title. He’ll continue to be part of the Audi driver development programme racing for Invicta in 2027.

State of parking companies in the UK: It's taken TWO MONTHS for one to finally back off (after they got bailiffs involved!) having served me with a parking fine for... parking at Silverstone with my media pass for the British Grand Prix. Apparently my weekend parking pass wasn't enough evidence... 🤦

On-the-flag report after a stunning recovery drive from Kimi Antonelli. This was the performance that proved once-and-for-all that he can handle the pressure of this title battle. Will it be the one that disabuses George Russell and Lewis Hamilton of any notion that a comeback is possible?

Extraordinary presser at Monza. Flavio Briatore brought a sheet of paper from which he read and accused one of the FIA Court of Appeal judges of being linked with McLaren. Andrea Stella, sat on the same sofa, said the claim was "insulting" and seemed to threaten consequences for the allecation.

express.co.ukHuge F1 row erupts as teams clash in press conference over 'serious' allegationFlavio Briatore and Andrea Stella clashed in the Monza press conference.

I reached out to McLaren who declined to comment further, a spokesperson telling me Stella "said what needed to be said in the press conference". Alpine and FIA yet to respond to requests for comment at the time of publication.

From reading through the FIA International Court of Appeal’s 26-page document (not a page-turner) it’s clear the fact neither Alpine nor the FIA/FOM could provide the true measurement of the pit lane has been one of the key deciding factors in this case.

The FIA Court of Appeal has found in favour of McLaren and Red Bull. Pierre Gasly’s penalties at the Monaco GP are reinstated and Isack Hadjar wins back his first Red Bull podium. Full story coming.

Alpine’s own reconstruction was described only as a “best estimate” of the distance and so could not be truly considered as evidence. As a result, the panel could only use the distance parameter used in the race to measure Gasly’s times through the pit lane.

Using that distance, readings above the hard 60kph limit were produced and so: “The Court is comfortably satisfied that Car 10 [Gasly] breached Article B1.6.3a of the F1 Sporting Regulations twice”. Hence the reinstatement of his two five-second time penalties.

Hadjar not being risked. Liam Lawson gets another go in the main Red Bull while Yuki Tsunoda has another chance to audition for a 2027 seat elsewhere.

Expecting Red Bull to communicate a decision over who will drive for which of their teams this weekend either this evening or Thursday morning. Hadjar hopes to be cleared but last test on his wrist scheduled for this afternoon/evening. If he can’t drive, it’ll be the same arrangement as Zandvoort

Red Bull have a deadline day signing of their own to announce: Former Aston Martin engineer Tom McCullough will join in 2027 as head of racing, taking over a significant amount of the job McLaren-bound Gianpiero Lambiase currently holds.

Understand Alpine have exercised an option to extend Franco Colapinto’s contract. Unchanged line-up for 2027. Official confirmation to come. This year’s F1 driver market really is turning into a bit of a damp squib!

Now confirmed: Yuki Tsunoda gets another go back on the F1 grid with Liam Lawson stepping up to the main Red Bull team to fill in for Isack Hadjar, who has sustained a wrist injury, at the Dutch Grand Prix.
