Well we didn't lose. #LCFC

I've hit the stage of the day where I'm actively telling my kids 'it's better to ask for forgiveness than seek permission'. Just please, stop talking to me for a bit. Please.

#WhatImPlaying #MortalShell2 is probably my favourite none 'Fromsoft' Souls game. Even moreso than #LiesOfP. It's just bloody good fun. I think I'm about halfway through at this point. And if the back end is as fun as the front end, we've got a GOTY candidate on our hands #Videogames #Gaming

#HellLetLoose. Don't typically play these sorts of game but my new work friends insisted. It was alright. I played the role of a headless chicken; running around without any idea about what's going on, or what I'm supposed to be doing. #Videogames #Gaming

OOOOoooooooOOOOOOOOF. I'm dead in the water. #FPL

#BackloggdWeekly Throw in #MortalShell2 which is what I'm actively playing at the moment. Potential GOTY for me.

So I've just beaten one of the first named bosses in #MortalShell2 and all I'll say is...what the fuck. 10/10 for originality. If they can keep this up I'll have no issues remembering each different boss.

Listening to the #LCFC game has me like

Absolute state of this club. #LCFC

What are we thinking today #LCFC fans? I wasn't overly impressed with last weeks performance. I know the new coach needs time, but I was seeing the same mistakes (especially from the back-line) that have dogged this team for the last five years. Still. Let's see what this Saturday brings. 🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊

Aight. So once a week I like to do a weekly round up of all I've played for the previous week. This is that thread. Let's try and use it as a place to discuss what we're all playing. Anyway, here we go... #WhatImPlayin for Saturday 22nd August 2026. #Gaming #Videogames

#CloneHero Quickly becoming a game I think I'll send the next decade playing both with myself, and as my kids grow up, with them too. I'm awful at it, but I can feel myself getting better, strum by strum. #Gaming #Videogames

#MortalShell2 Still early on this one and I've seen some...things on the games subreddit that give me cause for concern (bugs and jank mainly) but the opening hour or two was really solid. Can't wait to get back to it tonight. #Videogames #Gaming

#SovereignTower I don't typically go for visual novel type games, but this thing may end up in my top 3 games of the year. Something about it just resonated with me in the most perfect way. #Gaming #Videogames

The two games aren't remotely similar, but it kinda strikes me in the same way a game called #BadNorth did a few years ago; an indie with a nice art style, that offers short burst gameplay that works beautifully on the Steamdeck/Switch. #Gaming #Videogames

I started #MortalShellTwo last night. Only put an hour or two into it but initial impressions are strong. Movement feels great, combat is enjoyable and I wasn't having too much trouble engaging with the shell system liked I'd originally feared.

The map/world feels nice too. It looks good and I'm having a reasonably time wondering off and exploring. I really like 'cleansing' the shrines and appreciate that there's little dungeons dotted around to find and delve into.

Lack of a 'stake-of-marika' alternative is a gripe I guess, I'm not sure why these games haven't started to incorporate that feature in. Fast travelling from the main hub to the world is....well quite a thing. I've only used it once or twice so far but it's kind of amazing.

Few minutes until the #FPL GW1 deadline. Are you scared? I'm scared. My children are scared. Heck, even the kitten is scared. To Haaland or not to Haaland? Bruno Captain? Triple #Brighton ?

I've decided Gabriel? Not for me. Bruno as my Captain. Erling and Joao Fruadro up top. In the year of our lord 2026 I've got Harry Maguire as my starting defender and some lad named Tzolis is my only Arsenal attacker. Why? Because why not. I hate this game/I Love this game.

Ooof. #LCFC historic position chart makes for grim reading.

Do we have any #CloneHero fans in the house?

#MortalShell2 is being downloaded as we speak. I've only played one 'Soulslike' this year (the Lies Of P DLC), and I've been itching to get back to the genre. Originally the plan was to replay Sekiro or Elden Ring but given this game has blown everyone away... Might as well give it a look.

We're like 2 days out and my #FPL team is a mess of bad punts and desperate plays. I have no foundation for anything and I'm desperately trying to put a team together. My GW1 team would have absolutely feasted in GW38 a few months ago. Damn, it's good to be back.

Won't lie. I'm not enjoying #TheLordOfTheRings on my second reading nearly as much as I thought I would...but here goes.

Think I'll be watching some footage of #MortalShell2 before I take the plunge. It doesn't matter how good the game is, or how well it's being reviewed when I'm not sure I'll ever be down with the game's main mechanic I played the OG game. I hated the shell system. Hated it. #Soulslike #Videogames

Does anyone know why my profile is declaring an invalid handle? #wsocial support.

So like, can we edit posts on here?

Just finished #SovereignTower I don't normally go in for the visual novels, but something about this one just caught me at the right moment. The setting, the characters, the music, visuals and fun turn based management stuff just landed so well with me. #Videogames #Gaming

Hoping we get some story DLC because man, this is going up on the '#Suizerain Shelf' for narrative based management games that I just fucking adore. I reserve 5/5 reviews for my 'favourite' games of all time. Outer Wilds, Mario Maker II, Sekiro etc etc.

This game doesn't make it that high, but I am going to give it 4/5 because I really do think it's one of the best games released this year. Go play it.
