Building on one user's workflow and turning it into a product that millions can use is both fascinating and frustrating! But I'm grateful to be on this journey.

Built by podcasters, for podcasters With over 1,200 produced & published episodes, @nathanwrigley.com knows what it takes to build a sustainable podcast. That journey led to show.fm Get three years of access for a never-to-be-repeated price today, before the offer ends October 31: show.fm/founders

I've been so impressed with @zed.dev as my daily driver these days! It's fast, clean, and gets out the way when I need. It's much lighter on my Mac's memory than VSCode. A great open-source solution!

Podcasters, what are some of the biggest challenges you face in your #podcast production workflow? I've been working on a #PodOps solution that solves some of @nathanwrigley.com's specific friction points. I'd love to hear others' challenges when producing a podcast.

So for the first time, we're asking the community directly. If #WPLDN has ever been useful to you, whether that's a talk that changed how you approach projects, a connection that led to work, or a Thursday evening where you felt like you belonged, you can now support the event via GitHub Sponsors

Sponsors who've supported community events for years are redirecting budgets, and that's not a criticism; it's just where the industry is right now.

#WPLDN has always been built by its community Speakers, volunteers, & everyone who turns up on a Thursday evening. Now, if you'd like to, you can support the event financially too No minimum, no obligation. If you've ever got something out of #WPLDN, then this is a way to help keep it going

It looks like someone is scraping the #WCEU attendee page and reaching out via email trying to sell info. Just a reminder, the WCEU team did not and will NEVER share any attendee info with third parties. If you get an email, itโ€™s a scam. Don't engage and stay safe.

For just $300, your company can be featured in front of thousands of #WordPress focused attendees. Only TWO days left to register.

We've got a few spots left for Page Builder Summit 8.0 sponsors. If you're in the WordPress space, why not check us out. Sponsorships starts at just $300 and are available until Weds 30th April, when we close the doors. bit.ly/3kizOkq

Can anyone share docs or best practices in relation to building blocks in a plugin that require a "margin" setting, that will work in both classic & block themes? I'm trying to use WordPress UI components for a consistent UX. The next post is my current thinking:

`useSetting( 'spacing.margin' )` will return the Core-supported margin config if the theme supports it (via theme.json) If it returns undefined or false, it means margin is not supported So I can then manually render custom settings in BoxControl inside ToolsPanelItem so margin is still editable

I'm not clear if this is the best way to approach this. Or should I use `is_block_theme()` in PHP, then access it via something like the following in JS: const isBlockTheme = window.isBlockThemeActive ?? false;

Proud of my nephew getting his debut for #CRFC first team yesterday. He's been at the club since he could hold a ball. Rugby has helped instil such positive values in him.

I highly recommend catching up on this #WPLDN session if you're building or maintaining a product. Thanks for the insight @aarondcampbell.com

So it seems that: ๐Ÿ”ง helping to remove 1k vulnerable plugins from the repo in October(and many more during all the years) ๐Ÿž creating a bug bounty and mVDP for WordPress ๐ŸŽ‰ sponsoring events โž• and much more is not contributing enough. Cool, cool... x.com/OliverSild/...

Lots of individuals from the #WordPress community have joined over here, which has been great. But few of the bigger companies in the space are here. It makes recognition of them through event sponsorship like #WPLDN a little tricky. They're all still over on X, where I don't want to be.
