Nothing brings me more excitement then being asked to productionise a vibe coded AI product written by a product manager 😂😭

What I’m hearing: Instagram’s Trust and Safery org absolutely gutted the last few weeks. ~60% of the org gone - between layoffs and forced reassignments to data labelling. All while “AI maxxing” pushed a bunch of bugs to prod. And hence why today’s massive Instagram account takeover happening.

You know iron man really was never that realistic given that whenever Toby asked J.A.R.V.I.S for a diagnostic, he never got something totally wild and out there like "OK, I have ordered 1,400 glow sticks to your Malibu mansion"

You can really tell a lot about a person by how much fresh fruit / veg they have in their fridge

My workflow these days has recently just been - Hey Opencode, fetch jira ticket XXXX - Read the details of the ticket - Plan the work please - Looks good, implement please - Looks good, commit, push & raise a PR Thanks

the year is 2025, and for the first time in my life I actually have no computers in my house running Windows. The Unix life chose me it would seem :D

This is sick

I left my house for 30 minutes this morning, when I come back, there is a workman for the neighbours on my drive 😤 asked him to move and he goes "I'll be out of your way in 5 minutes"! Am I crazy or is that insanely disrespectful 🤬

Don't care how old you are, you are never too old to feel like aquaman when you control the flow of water from the shower with your arms

This morning I am on a bus and the voice recording of the location announcements is very Bristolian and I overheard someone unironically say "amazing how they managed to get their Siri to sound like that".

Incredible that they not only think it's an AI voice and not a recording. But also that the AI is *Siri* of all options 😂

public static void main open parentheses string open square bracket close square bracket args close parentheses new line open curly bracket... You get the idea... Doesn't quite have a good enough ring to it for me 😂

Started using Windows `winkey+h` for voice dictation. It's actually really good, and is saving me a lot of typing! Does anyone else use it? I've also heard about Wispr Flow, which looks quite cool - but would rather stick to one built into Windows.

Happy (UK) mother's day to all of you mothers out there! My wife celebrated her first mother's day being a mum this year 🥰

Call me a beta if you want but I tried really hard to main Linux (Pop!_OS) but to be honest there were just too many things that were blocking my usual workflow. - Logitech G Hub isn't available - Corsairs iCue - Some games still don't quite work even despite @valvesoftware.com's proton

Is 2025 the year where everyone is really trying to push people to pay for a licence to use what was originally free and open source software? Specifically in the world of #dotnet and #csharp last year we had Moq and now FluentAssetions??! Who next??? Pls don't do it @jimmybogard.com 💕
