If you're going to get a single song stuck in your head for a 45-minute pre-dawn run, you could do a lot worse than OutKast's "Hey Ya." #lendmesomesugariamyourneighbor

"The more we continue to improve, you're going to get a better shot from the teams you're playing...I got to take responsibility for preparing my team to handle that success." Panthers know the key to improving is learning to take a team's best shot www.panthers.com/news/panther...

panthers.comPanthers know the key to improving is learning how to take a team’s best shotAs Carolina improves as a club, they know more and more teams are going to bring them their best shot. After years of being the scrappy team to deliver a blow, now they have to learn how to take one.

Dave Canales said CB Akayleb Evans is day-to-day with a tricep injury. They only have two healthy CBs on the active roster (Will Lee and Chau Smith-Wade), but they have six on the practice squad.

Canales said Taylor Moton will have surgery, and will miss the rest of the season. There's a break in the fibula, but also ligament damage in the ankle. Football stinks some days.

The Wheel Of Injuries spins every week. No team is immune. And we've now reached the point of the season where "Are theirs worse than yours" is as much of a factor as talent and coaching.

Packers C Sean Rhyan, who left Sunday’s game with an ankle injury, is believed to have suffered a high-ankle sprain, sources say. X-Rays were negative, and he has an MRI today. But high-ankle sprains are often 4-6 week injuries

Dave Canales brutally honest: "I’ve never been a part of half of football like that — It felt so crazy and so egregiously different than the ball we’re used to playing." It was 33-6 at halftime after multiple turnovers in a variety of ways.

Panthers hold the Bucs to a field goal, which is as much as you can hope for there. Bobby Okereke bats down third-down pass for red zone stop. Still, Bucs 10-0 early in the second.

Bucs go right downfield, Bucky Irving runs it in for a touchdown. TB 7-0. Tampa already has more rushing yards (47) than the Panthers have allowed either of the last two weeks (46 against the Lions, 35 against the Eagles).

Luke Kuechly hits the Keep Pounding drum before kickoff. We're going to dock his broadcasting check today, for abandoning his post during the game.

Blue jerseys, black britches today, as modeled by JJ Jansen. Jansen will break the franchise’s all-time record and the NFL’s all-time record for long snappers by appearing in his 283rd game today, breaking the old record of 282 previously held by JJ Jansen.

And if you need more Luke Kuechly in your day (and as we've discussed, the answer to any problem is "More Luke Kuechly"), here's a collection of stories about the Hall of Famer, from those closest to him. www.panthers.com/news/59-on-5...

panthers.com59 on 59: Luke Kuechly's Hall of Fame career and life, as told by othersThe Panthers linebacker has impacted the game of football, and so many people along the way. And so many of them have stories to tell. Here are 59 of them.

Naz Reid is already showing signs of joining my all-time favorite Hornets list, along with Gerald Wallace, Anthony Mason, Al Jefferson, Vlade, and Captain Jack.

The Panthers are bringing back an all-timer on Sunday. Early team kick returner and special teamer Michael Bates is the Legend of the Game, and will hit the Keep Pounding drum going into the fourth quarter. He's one of four All-Decade players in team history. www.panthers.com/news/legend-...

panthers.comLegend of the Game: Michael BatesBates was recognized as an All-Decade player of the 1990s, one of just four Panthers to ever earn that distinction, along with Luke Kuechly, Julius Peppers, and Kevin Greene.
