Being a queer author means people think every plot twist is a metaphor for something deeply personal 🌈✒️ #AuthorSky #WriteSky #WritingCommunity

LGBTQ Global Book Odyssey LGBTQ, everywhere, always… The NYC jaunt of course must end at the iconic, historic, inspirational Stonewall — the single most important catalyst for the modern LGBTQ+ civil rights movement. #LGBTQGlobalOdyssey #LGBTQ #GayBooks #Booksky #NewYork #gaynewyork #Stonewall

So... when a book's been out for a while, do you think little spoilers are fair game for promotion? Do you like those little sneak peeks, or would you rather keep the mystery, well, a mystery? 🌈✒️ 📚🌎 🌈📚 #BookSky #AuthorSky #WriteSky

So many stories are written for YA readers, but what comes next? Growing up can be a bumpy ride 🙃 I write New Adult to bridge the gap and make the transition into the bigger world a little easier 🌈✒️ #AuthorSky #WriteSky #WritingCommunity

Current mood: pacing around because my plot decided to throw a tantrum and now nothing makes sense. Anyone else? 🌈✒️ #AuthorSky #WriteSky #WritingCommunity

Happy first bookiversary to my debut novel, Coven of the Elder Blossom! A year ago, I was so excited to share new characters, botanical magic, and a story inspired by the gay liberation movement 🏳️‍🌈 Looking forward to continuing the story in Spring 2027 🌈✒️ 🌈📚 🌈🚀💫 #BookSky #AuthorSky #WitchSky

I'm learning to be a little more of a squeaky wheel—to share my wants without feeling self-centered 🫣 Call it manifesting, asking, or simply making my hopes visible Maybe saying what we want out loud is how we find the connections that make it possible 🌈✒️ #AuthorSky #WriteSky #WritingCommunity

Hiya, friends! My debut novel, Coven of the Elder Blossom, is coming up on its one-year bookiversary If you've done some "light reading," would you consider leaving a review? Even a few quick words mean so much to me and can help other readers discover it 🌈✒️ 🌈📚 💙📚 🌈🚀💫 #BookSky #AuthorSky #WriteSky

#TodayInQueerHistory Sept 29 (1992) Paul Jabara wrote some EPIC bangers. His discography includes the oscar award winning disco track Last Dance, the Donna Summer/ Barbara Streisand duet No More Tears (Enough is Enough) & the ICONIC It's Raining Men. He died of AIDS related complications #OTD.

#TodayInQueerHistory Sept 28 (1993) Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City premieres on Channel 4 in the UK, introducing Barbary Lane to a new generation. A critic in 2005 said it was "a time capsule that treats its characters with humor, respect [...]would be politically impossible there today."

Next month marks one year since the release of my debut novel 🥳 Authors, how did you celebrate your first bookiversary? Did you throw a party, buy yourself something special, or just quietly think, "Whelp, on to the next one"? Give me all the ideas! 🌈✒️ #BookSky #WriteSky #WritingCommunity

Every few months, a company becomes the new baddie and the cycle of "switch now" advice starts over. It rarely considers whether anyone follows you there or if the constant uprooting is sustainable. Eventually, creators burn out or audiences drop off 🙃

We've lost some incredible people, each meaning something different to us. Take what you loved and carry it forward—from Dolly's bubbly, can-do spirit to Tim's hilariously sharp wit. Their light isn't completely gone; they passed it along 💖

#TodayInQueerHistory Aug 25 (2026) Dolly was a safe space wrapped in sequins. Her warmth, humour and humanity touched us all; her songs pulled on all our heartstrings. Dolly was an ally, supporting queer rights even after losing a Dolly lookalike contest to a drag queen We will always love you.

#TodayInQueerHistory August 24 (1945) Marsha P Johnson (born #OTD) is one of our community's most revered icons; driving the gay rights movement at Stonewall, helping homeless trans youth with STAR and in 1980 she was invited to lead NYC's Pride parade. She was even a muse for Andy Warhol!

Accidentally shipped two of my characters who weren't supposed to have a thing, and now it's all my brain can focus on writing 🌈✒️ #AuthorSky #WriteSky #WritingCommunity

So tell me why the hardest part of writing isn't coming up with ideas, but resisting the urge to write entire scenes for minor characters 🌈✒️ #AuthorSky #WriteSky #WritingCommunity
