The Fanny Bay Conservation Area is a highlight of Ships Peninsula. It features a 2.5 km long walking trail through the tidal marsh and mixed forest of the conservation area and is excellent for birding. The remains of George Sawchuk's quirky, Forest Gallery are also accessible via this trail.

Cybertruck/driver sighting of the day at PKOLS, Mt Douglas Park, Saanich, BC. Guy gets dog out, talks on phone, dog takes a dump on the trail, he doesn’t pick up. Truck/driver prediction based on dog owner behaviour and douche bag appearance, prediction confirmed as correct when he returns to truck.
