A great GOTV weekend! While our team was out knocking on OVER 2,000 DOORS (!) I took a break and visited Richmond Hill and @drumbeats and @caribbeanequalityproject for Diwali.

Ozone Park is home to thousands of union workers, and thousands more who have never had the opportunity to be in a union or organize. Today, we knocked on the doors of almost 2000 voters to let our neighbors know it's time to wake up our political power.

Let's go! Out here supporting the incredible @NYNURSES in their fight for safe staffing and against retaliation at Kings County Hospital and the baristas at Starbucks in Glendale who are on a ULP strike.

I also had a chance to visit Woodhaven Jame Masjid to reconnect before election day and discuss e-bike safety, ICE raids, and fighting cuts to our services. See you all tomorrow at our Labor for David and Claire rally in Ozone Park!

I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of over 20 labor unions and organizations and the thousands of their members who call AD38 home. I’m ready to go to work to fix tier 6, protect workers from AI job losses, strengthen workers' rights, and bring good union jobs to our district.

I know what it takes to win for workers. As a labor and employment attorney, I've represented my immigrant neighbors facing discrimination and wage theft at work. With my UAW local, I negotiated and secured a historic contract with strong wages, benefits, and protections.

Sunny Sunday visiting Gurudwara Baba Makhan and Gurudwara Sahib with @drumbeatsnyc ! I'm looking forward to continuing to build strong relationships with the Sikh community of Queens once in office.

Lots of friendly faces at candidate forums with @claireforny, canvassing with @jengutierreznyc, and line dancing with @aberkawas! Early voting begins one week from today - join us on the campaign trail to drive up voter turnout! act.david4queens.com/map

I was honored to return to Ozone Park Jame Masjid and speak with so many community members excited to see change in our communities.

From our affordability agenda, protecting immigrants, and ending the use of JFK airport for the transportation of munitions with @breakthechain4pal, Queens has so much to gain by getting out the vote this November 3.

3️⃣ weeks left before Election Day, 3️⃣ special guests at our canvasses, 3️⃣ special chances to meet our neighbors! Knock doors with Jennifer Gutierrez, @socialists.nyc Tax the Rich campaign, and Treeage. Come out to our candidate forums. Share your visions for a thriving South Queens.

Earlier today ICE shot someone uptown - this time in range of a 5 year old child. We don’t need any more proof that ICE rips apart families, harasses our neighbors, and recklessly attacks our city. NYers demand an end to ICE. Ni una más!

Election Day is in 4 weeks, all hands on deck! 🙌 We'll be out in Glendale, Woodhaven, and Richmond Hill today, tomorrow and Thursday. This weekend, @nycdsa members are spending our afternoons in Ozone Park and Ridgewood, then the Socialist Saloon with @aberkawas on Sunday night!

A beautiful Saturday in AD38! First, I visited the impressive Community Pantry in Richmond Hill, then knocked doors in Ozone Park.

Later I caught the volleyball tournament, and strolled down the Myrtle Ave BID street fair in Ridgewood. Days like today are a real testament to the love our neighbors show to our community.

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by our collective task - how can I ever do enough when faced with the sheer devastation of war, genocide, and climate catastrophe?

Yesterday, for at least one day, we did everything we could to end the war in Gaza and make our message clear. Today, we get back to work building our better future.

While diplomats at the UNGA discussed the future of global affairs, the people of NY made a clear demand: stop funding war and invest in our communities.

Senator Joseph Addabbo Jr. has earned the trust of my neighbors through years of dedicated service. I am honored to have earned his endorsement, and look forward to a productive partnership in delivering real solutions for our South Queens constituents.

New Yorkers can’t afford to wait for affordable housing, childcare, and transit. When you elect me as your Assembly Member on November 3, I’ll be working on your behalf, with the Mayor and our movement, to make sure your government delivers for working people.

This weekend, my colleagues and comrades @aberkawas @cctfornyc @samantha4queens @nycdsa @makeroadactny @jvpaction are coming out to Ridgewood and Woodhaven for my General Election Launch! We have a world to win , and we're ready to get to work. RVSP👉️ linktr.ee/david4queens

GENERAL ELECTION LAUNCH! 🚀 On Monday, join us and @nycdsa for a Canvassing 201 virtual training. Next weekend, knock doors in Ridgewood & Woodhaven with @aberkawas & @claireforny, and join the afterparty at @barfreda801 and Forest Park. SIGN UP @ linktr.ee/David4Queens ‼️

I’m also thinking about the incredible wave of hope our collective movement has brought to New York - that we can have a better city. We elected an unprecedented number of socialists, made Palestine a baseline issue, and tended to our burgeoning anti-war movement. 3/4

This year, we have proven that we don’t have to settle for less because the powerful told us to. I’m taking today to reset and prepare myself for the work ahead. A year of challenge, shared struggle, and growth as we build the city we deserve. Shanah Tovah! 4/4

This year, Rosh Hashanah falls on 9/11, and my reflections are filled with 25 years of our city’s grief in its wake — those who were lost, the heroic workers, and our neighbors who continue to be profiled, surveilled, and harassed due to anti-Muslim and Sikh prejudice. 2/4

Happy Labor Day! Workers deserve strong wages, benefits, protections and…..a day off! Celebrate workers by taking it easy today. Tomorrow, we continue organizing and advancing the movement in our unions, on the picket line, and with our coworkers!
