Couldn't handle the big stage. Ran out of gas Ran into a buzzsaw. A team of destiny. (Insert your sports cliche here) Shaping up to be a disappointing end to a really fun season.

At some point in the next week or so, I'm going to go back and rewatch game 2 against the Yankees and let that be my lasting memory of the season.

Spending one of your last two outs in a close World Series game on pinch hitter Ben Williamson is a sign your bench depth might be juuuuuuuuust a little short.

speaking of Jonny DeLuca, this is one of my favorite pics ever when he was in Double-A, trying for a ball down the right field line. Just perfect timing on the shot

Bill Belichick is now tied for the third longest tenured FBS head coach in the state of North Carolina Manny Diaz (Duke) and Blake Harrell (ECU) are tied for first, having started in 2024

I was hopeful the Rays could take one of the first two games in Milwaukee. That's still in play for now. Feels like the type of series where they're going to need to win at least two on the road.

This is a reminder that if you want to get outraged about something you might want to dig a little deeper to see if it's actually worth getting outraged about. You don't have to have an opinion on everything, especially if it's something you aren't knowledgeable on.

the new Atlanta Falcons logo is giving off some major "about to invade Poland" vibes

The Rays bobblehead and figurine collection at my desk at work has been getting more comments than usual. Also since I live in Houston, I've noticed most people here are rooting for the Rays over their former division rivals.

A thought I had is that a World Series matchup with the Astros, a former national league team representing the American League vs the Brewers, a former American League team representing the National league would be a funny storyline. I need this to happen at least once in my life.
