Hi, all of you new followers! Figured I’d intro myself. I’m Davy, I’m a 40-something Married Dad of two with a video game hoarding problem! 🤣 I play & collect retro games as well as contemporary. The Sega MS has a special place in my heart! Looking forward interacting with the community here!

So here’s a thought or two… Who remembers when Best Buy didn’t sell appliances, because Sears sold those? I bought my first pre-built PC in Circuit City, and my Nintendo Wii at K-Mart. Pour one for Electronics Boutique & Radio Shack in the mall. At least I got to see one when I moved here in ‘01!

Not sure if it’s because I was just home, my own politics about home, or just the mess that is Northern Ireland politics. Every feed I have is filled with the mess at Drumcree/Gervaghy Road in Portadown. I am the result of a cross religion marriage. Mum was a daughter of the Orange Order

Asked me to get him a Hurley, so he could grip it. I was like 10/1988. I got it back six months later, the grip was made of lobster pot rope, and it was green, white, and orange. It was the greatest gift I ever got from that man. It was that moment of understanding.

Dad was a Catholic from South Down. When things went wrong, each side of the in-laws, blamed the other. When Mum lost my older Sister’s in infancy, my Catholic Grandmother blamed her for not being able to carry. My Protestant Grandfather wouldn’t even give his Daughter away in a Catholic Church.

Her Brother (Uncle Hugh) was the only one that would, and they expelled him from the Orange Order for doing that. In the years after, he told me himself that he could care less that happened. He eventually got my Granda on the orange side to see sense.

Finished up Far: Lone Sails. Atmospheric, with puzzle elements and ship management. Short run time, so it doesn't wear out its welcome. If you're looking for a short, low stakes time, I'd recommend it

For a man that didn’t get out of his bed until his Grandson won a Chocolate Factory, Grandpa Joe is doing alright for himself…. 🤔

Anyone else manage to snag one of these at the time? Finding the US Genesis 2 Mini, at the time was like finding a needle in a haystack. Apparently though, finding the PAL Mega Drive Mini 2 was harder again! I managed to get this one from Amazon Japan. #Sega #Genesis #MegaDrive

I guess Jersey really doesn’t like when you change the names on things. Didn’t this happen like 9-10 years ago? 🤣 NJ Side of the State Line/NY Side of the Line.

That time when I did a stint with the Family back home for a year or two…. The good thing about this, Sony can’t delist it or take it back from me….

I don’t care that I had to slow them down for memory speed (I should be able to fill all 4 slots, but processor can’t handle it at full overclock 👎), 128GB of RAM looks beautiful in there! And yes, I know my cable management is garbage!

I can’t make it, but that doesn’t mean you should miss it as well!
