LTC 2023 - 1st Splatoon LAN and 1st LAN where I actually knew of and or were friends with a lot of people - Getting to meet my team in person for the first time who are now all among some of my best friends - Winning Silver Bracket in game 5 and riding the euphoric wave for the rest of the trip

📢We have now officially been competing in Splatoon for 10 years! 🎉 On August 7, 2015, the day after the 2.0 update, 64 teams began scheduling matches in Western Competitive Splatoon scene's first event, Ink or Sink: Testfire. 🦑 🔁Quote with one of your favorite moments in the last 10 years.

Clip from replay mode (which is missing another kill a few seconds before the earlier vldeo started)

I already done one before of my most influential games to me but I decided to update mine after thinking about it a lot. I'm using Pokemon Showdown as a stand in for Pokemon Netbattle which was the first Pokemon battle simulator with a GUI and was the Showdown equivalent of the early/mid 2000s

Almost all of mine revolve around the social aspects they provided me, whether it be the irl friends I made in the Pokemon & SSB communities or my friends in the Splatoon and Mario Kart communities. In the case of the latter, I am still good friends with several people I first met as early as 2008

Oh yeah, Madden is there because it quite literally taught me the rules of the NFL along with stuff like the starters and prominent backups of each team. It's the first one I bought and I played the heck out of it, I even completed the stupidly lengthy 30 season long franchise mode.

All of these famous and known Smash players that I met and or played against at LANs as a 12 year old I always thought were way older than me but it turns out they were at most 2-5 years older. All this time I thought they were mostly all in their early to mid 20s but they're like 15 instead lmao

I generally don't mind most modern videogame QoL features but as someone who occasionally savescums, holy hell every game that has it needs an option to disable autosave.

Unfortunate circumstances have me staying in Ohio for another few days but I kind of enjoy it up here. It's nice being able to simply walk to places.

I got the opportunity to talk to some people about how I play Splatoon with sticks including stuff like how I aim, how I deal with specific situations and some of what I do for aim drills. I don't get to talk about that kind of stuff without being made fun of or ignored so it was a nice experience

I kind of wished I got into shiny hunting 10 years ago instead of 1 year ago. I never had that much interest in it before but its been a decent time waster whenever I'm bored or listening to something. Some stuff from XY/ORAS

I was worried that medical issues last month were going to force me to miss Riptide but things have cleared up a lot in recent weeks

Begrudgingly started my playthrough of Ultra Sun so that I can eventually shiny hunt Xerneas in postgame like I did for Ultra Moon and playing through it, it's even worse than I remembered from my first gen 7 playthroughs
