My first 5 TTRPGs played: 1. Holmes Basic (grandmother was given a Blue Box to pass on to me) 2. 1e AD&D 3. 4e D&D 4. Transylvanian Adventures (DCC mechanics, but Hammer Horror themed) 5. DCC I had Vampire friends in middle school which would have gotten it to number 2 if I'd actually played.

My old neighbor was collecting SSI in spite of assets well in excess of the limit. Plus, he owned a duplex which, while exempt as an asset because he was living in one half, he was collecting unearned income from as rent. But he was an old white guy, so I doubt I'll be able to collect anything.

I once did this with an SSA ALJ (though they don't have direct sanction power, so the risk was lower). Instructed my client not to sign a document the judge was ordering him to. It did result in a lot of yelling, but the client didn't sign. I had warned him in advance I expected this to happen.

OK, so since I was just reminded of the case, it's story time about my very favorite bit of Social Security disability related case law. When SSA is evaluating a disability claim the very first question they're asking is "are you actively working and earning substantial money?"
