Just released DBOS TypeScript 5.4 and Python 3.4! With this release, we're introducing DBOS Transact Enterprise, a commercial extension of our open-source libraries, with advanced features for operating durable workflows at scale. Our core DBOS Transact libraries remain open source.

Two new Enterprise features in this release: - Sharded Postgres support: Scale horizontally to millions of durable workflows/sec. - Automatic workflow version upgrades: Upgrade workflow code without disrupting running workflows. DBOS Transact Enterprise is included in all paid DBOS plans.

What do financial processing and AI software factories have in common? - Durable workflows At yesterday's DBOS User Group, we had two great talks from teams building with DBOS: - Credix: Using DBOS for financial processing - Cortex: Building an AI software factory powered by durable workflows

New releases across DBOS Transact SDKs: TypeScript v5.3, Python v3.3, and Go v1.7. One important change across all three releases: we moved the DBOS Conductor client into a separate Enterprise package. This change will allow us to deliver several exciting new features in the coming weeks.

If you're only using the open-source DBOS libraries, nothing changes and just upgrade as usual. If you're using DBOS Conductor or DBOS Cloud, you'll need to install the Enterprise dependency when upgrading. We'll be rolling out the same change for Java soon.

Join us for the next DBOS User Group Meetup on October 22! This month, Credix and Cortex will share how they're using DBOS to build durable workflows for commercial lending and AI software factories. We'll also share the results of our roadmap survey. Register here: luma.com/2f5n3nr1?tk=...

Hot on the heels of last's weeks v1.1 release, today we released v1.2 DBOS Java SDK! This release completes a pair of changes (workflow payload tables and delay debouncer) that stated in v1.1. By splitting the work across two minor releases, we avoided making a breaking change.

github.comRelease 1.2.0 · dbos-inc/dbos-transact-javaHighlights Workflow payloads live in their own tables (#579): 1.2 completes the move that 1.1 started. Workflow inputs, outputs and errors are now written to workflow_input and workflow_output, th...

Just released DBOS Python 3.2 and TypeScript 5.2! These releases include several improvements to datasources: - Programmatic datasource migrations - Garbage collection for datasource checkpoints - Custom sessionmaker support for the Python SQLAlchemy datasource

Under the hood, we also added a new workflow ownership system that helps DBOS detect duplicate workflow executions more reliably, for example, executions caused by "zombie" processes. TypeScript release notes: github.com/dbos-inc/dbo... Python release notes: github.com/dbos-inc/dbo...

We just released v1.4.0 of DBOS Go This release adds: - Native support for fair partitioned queues - Payload table normalization (splitting workflow inputs and outputs into their own tables) that significantly improved performance and scalability Release notes: github.com/dbos-inc/dbo...

The change is forward compatible: v1.4+ can read workflows created by v1.3, while v1.3 clients will not read payloads from v1.4+ workflows.

Just released DBOS Python 3.0 and DBOS TypeScript 5.0! Highlights include schema changes (splitting workflow inputs and outputs into their own tables) that substantially improve performance at scale, especially when data volumes are large. Also large optimizations to workflow retention policies.

See how you can inspect and manage workflows directly from the terminal, making it easier to operate DBOS applications from local and CI/CD environments. This demo is from the DBOS User Group Meeting on September 10, 2026.

We just released v1.3.0 of DBOS Go! This release includes major queue performance optimizations, making dequeueing a large batch of durable workflows more efficient at scale. Check out the release notes: github.com/dbos-inc/dbo...

We just released DBOS Python 2.31 and DBOS TypeScript 4.27! Highlights 🧵: - A new backwards-compatible interface for partitioned queues, making it easier to combine queue-wide and per-partition concurrency limits and implement fair queueing.

- Durable stream improvements, including read timeouts and point reads from a specific offset. - Workflow completion timeouts during shutdown, allowing DBOS to safely wait for local workflows to finish. - Step timeout support in Python, bringing it in line with TypeScript.
