Thank you @dailybeanspod.com for the soothing image of the mostly harmless era of Sarah Palin that you put in my head this morning. Ahhhhhh… those were the days.

I just finished reading The Briar Club by Kate Quinn. It’s a fine book. Although it’s a murder mystery AND very much fiction, it has some really good history in it. Some reminders that we’ve been here before with regard to the constitution. Five out of five stars. #booksky

Merry Christmas!

These days in my red state, it’s become pretty common to be told, “be safe” as a closer for a conversation. First of all, I don’t feel especially unsafe. Secondly, if I did, it would be the people telling me this who I’m most afraid of.

Ok. It’s weird that when I slice open a tofu package and the tofu’s life blood spurts out of the package, I picture myself as a survivalist-hunter, complete with a fixed-blade knife and my hair flopping over my sweaty bandanna. That’s weird, right? Anyone?? #vegetarian #strangethoughtsihave

This is Midge’s Halloween pic. It’s the least blurry of the many action shots. The main action was shaking off the wig.
