"Sometimes, the ask is for billionaires to consider donating a percentage of their net worth, a cheap commitment if it helps kill a 5 percent tax." We used a weath tax...to destroy the wealth tax.

For the wages of sin is death, but the federal minimum wages of sin haven't increased since 2009. Also, the inflation-adjusted gift of God (eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord) has decreased to 400,000 years of life in Joseph Smith.

I drunkenly yelled "I LOVE YOU BECK!" at Beck Bennet on the street after an SD Comic Con panel. He looked back at me derisively, and I was embarrassed and mollified.

I miss the days when it was considered naughty for a president to chuckle with milk executives about price fixing. We're so far beyond that that our president's former lawyer is taking fifty million dollars to buy pardons for a billionaire from a country whose leader we black bagged to steal oil...

I don't think anyone has come to terms with the wild ride Ezra Klein has been on. He had Jensen Huang on where the NVIDIA (pronounced en-viddyah, NOT nih-viddyah) guy glazed AI and shit on haters. Then he had Bill Gates on, who proceeded to completely shit on AI corps' 'self regulation'.

30 years from now, we should get another auteur director to recreate Noah Hawley's remake of Alien. Meticulously remake every piece of the recreation. Add three *more* Aliens, for fun. Make the android reveal even *more* subversive and unexpected! Hahahaha what are we even doing

The LA Lakers are named for Minnesota's ten thousand lakes. The LA Dodgers are named for the NYC subway dodgers. The LA Chargers are named for San Diego power generation. LA is sus

My problem is I listened to Lana Del Rey in 2015 instead of pouring wax into my ears. I've been swimming to the sirens ever since, instead of tied to the mast helping my fellow humans.

Livestream the firing squad execution you cowards. Show us the bloody might of our high-testosterone America and its righteous justice! I'm dreaming of a RED Christmas!!

Mind-boggingly, this is the first massive internet scam most art students see through and most engineers don't.

If Brett McGurk pat himself on the back any harder in this book, he'd probably call for US intervention against his own hand. This guy badgered Saudi Arabia for daring to fight the Houthis, but he helped manufacture consent for Israel doing far worse against Gaza. 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

I need more news about "The Hamptons" and about "Martha's Vineyard". Those words evoke deep place memory in all of us, don't they, folks? Back when we were all Kennedy children basking in our generational wealth. Back when playing lacrosse *meant* something.

Senators taking a break from regulating college football to misapprehend college basketball is exactly the reason I put my full faith and trust in our current Government.

This move has been shown like fifty times during the broadcast. It is nearly as Texas cringe as that cool move hosing the field with urine.

lmao, I don't even know what to say about this

"If you think about it, Texas is America's India. Or India is Asia's Texas, geographically speaking. And spiritually? Spiritually, American India's Indians *are* the Indians--the Native Americans, the gurus of our continent. We..." -Matthew Mcconaughey having a stroke.

"low unemployment, relatively strong growth numbers and a booming stock market..." Give everyone one dollar to work one hour a week: zero unemployment! Give four companies four trillion dollars: growth! Give four companies four trillion dollars to give everyone one dollar a week: number go up!

Voting for the "best likely opponent" is not how voters should make decisions in a primary election. Voting for someone who shares my values and supports policies that I agree with doesn't make it all about ME. That's just how voting works.

Bill Capehart@billcapehart.bsky.social

People here on BSky *still* brag and preen about not voting for his best likely opponents in the 2016 & 2024 elections because said candidates weren’t all about THEM, and this time even read Project 2025 and shrugged, “well *I*can weather that for four years; sucks to be everyone else.” 🙄
