I should at least make a first post. I'm known on the internet as Deadfire, consistent gamer of many types, Canadian, Father of a daughter, retired military, fantasy and sci-fi Fan. Likewise, I should say that I'm into #BattleTech, as I spend a great amount of time as a Senior editor on @sarna.net

I managed to get my daughter a Pokemon TCG Prefect Order ETB at MSRP at a retail store. I am as shocked as she was getting it lol #pokemon #pokesky #pokemontcg #perfectorder #fuckscalpers (My daughter said I need to use hashtags, because it's such a big deal)

*sigh* Trying to be positive and productive when my pain level is high, headaches, soreness, and even my hands are shaking is tiring.

At my every 1.5 year appointment with my diabetes specialist doctor. One of the problems I didn't expect from my military service, yet here I am. Every time I come it's always much the same, but at least I'm Canadian and don't need to worry about the costs.

Single post about #hockey this picture was the men's #Olympics hockey finals in a nutshell. Hellebuyck being the beast we knew he was, but due to the @winnipegjets.com being a disaster collectively on the road, didn't get to see much in the playoffs. All said, it was an incredible game.

Really @discord.com? I can respect that you want to protect minors, but scanning IDs or facial scans with having multiple known data breaches and unsafe practices is pretty terrible. With the same found to lies used before too. discord.com/press-releas...

I really need to figure out what keeps triggering these chronic headaches and migraines. I know that my bad back causes some of them, just not all. That and a better way of dealing with them that doesn't seem to make them worse. Though Loki seems not to care at all.

It's time to warm yourself by the fusion fire of your 'Mech with some BattleTech news! We got new products, fan projects, and a scientific advancement that'll melt your frozen coolant tubes. #BattleTech #MechWarrior www.sarna.net/news/battlet...

Mylo isn't a lap cat, and never sought comfort from me. In years past I couldn't even feed him due to his very strong bond with "Mother" and me being only the "spare". However due to his teeth/month issues getting worse, and us giving vet approved meds, it results in him doing this at rare times.

I thought to redo my interview as it just seems I'm rambling on tangents. But as someone else pointed out it's definitely my talking style, and it's not *too* overwhelming this time. It doesn't help that I did a lot of very scattered work, more than the other interviewees who have firmer focuses.

Your last BattleTech news update for the year comes a little early, as I don't want to be writing this on New Year's. Plus, there's a very special video coming in two days that y'all should really know about :) www.sarna.net/news/battlet...

#battletech presents for #xmas to my family from @jparbiter.bsky.social and his family. The box for the "Precentor Martial" Edition of the "BattleTech Universe" sourcebook really is heavy and the Mugs seem to be of fairly decent quality.

Recently found in basement storage boxes and from early 2015 in Victoria, I miss those simple days and having enough free time to basically go to all these MtG events, and various other events at Yellowjacket. (That first episode of Friday Nights S9 by @loadingreadyrun.com really hit the feels)

and I'm in a Co-Op spot helping!

Love these...

ugh, I need it.... :/

Damn it b33f! Lol

It's time for your monthly BattleTech news blast! June was once again another busy month, with new product previews, new game announcements, and the #PrideMechParade! www.sarna.net/news/battlet...

Finally got my hands on some the #finalfantasy set of #magicthegathering for myself and my wife. Only a Bundle and the Starter decks (as it's really all we can afford), and so far we both think the set looks awesome. #MTGxFINALFANTASY #MTGxFF #mtg

I set up a dev env on my PC again after not having one for well over a year. Why do I do this to myself?😛

So many templates and modules will need to be updated, and a fair amount of work for me to do :)

Got some stuff in the mail today. #mtg

Interesting!

when people ask me what i've been up to lately

One of my favourite memories from my 5 years in Victoria, BC. Taken Jul 26th 2015, aptly named "GP Thunder Tarp" as the party decided to do a garden party and MTG Draft. Of course, the weather had other plans. Featuring friends: @sergeyager.bsky.social @ejarrett.bsky.social @historicbent.bsky.social

Here is Loki again for #Caturday. Here he is asleep on mom's jacket after a long day of being an almost 5-month-old kitten.
