Of COURSE he’s surrounded by incompetent greedy half-wits! No one with an ounce of dignity, intellect, or integrity would touch him with a ten-foot pole.

Remember the silence—except for birdcalls—during the few ”no-fly” days post 9/11? From horizon to horizon, the clear undisturbed blue skies devoid of contrails—even Earth herself gasped. Then a collective exhale, flights resumed, and we emerged from that blue cocoon to a profoundly changed world.

What to wear when mourning an icon like Dolly? Ttraditional black? Or rhinestones and frills? Sadly, my closet does not have a single thing with rhinestones or frills, so black it is. But darn if this isn’t the first and only time I will ever regret the lack of a lacy pushup bra. Rest in power.

I sure hope the U.S. will not need to pass through Canada anytime soon; for example if another country decides to reclaim Alaska under the “One People” concept. Na-aahhh; who would do that? And even if they did, we can always count on Canadian goodwill, right? politicalwire.com/2026/08/22/m...

What if victory in Iran was never the intent? Perhaps a facade for training a private militia on the public dime for the fascist state? Obviously not all troops are fascists, but there are enough — and enough grift to fund ‘roided up mercenaries. What if, for example, Jan 6 was just a test run?

It’s the very adaptability of a story—its relevance generation after generation—that makes it a classic. Like the historic site of Troy itself, its repeated reinvention and reuse create layer upon layer—rather than burying it—and keeping it alive. whc.unesco.org/en/list/849/

I’m sure there is someone in the Situation Room right now, trying to find a way to blame this debacle on Biden.

WATCH: The DOJ quietly closed 23,000+ criminal cases in the first six months of the second Trump administration, abandoning hundreds of investigations into terrorism, white-collar crime, drugs and other offenses as it shifted resources to pursue immigration cases. Full story: propub.li/4tHp2Wd

Imagine having the full faith of the President and unlimited funding; yet after an entire year, all you have to show for it is 565 pages of … nothing. Reminds me of the voting fraud investigations. And the Comey prosecutions. It’s almost like - what’s that word? Incompetence.

ICE “guidance memo” turns out to be “erroneous”: shocking! Interestingly, ICE conveyed lots of other guidance in the past year to its officers, both written and verbal. How many OTHER examples of erroneous “guidance” are out there, and who will be left holding the bag for them? Hmmm?

While I understand the visceral urge to boycott the State of the Union address, let’s acknowledge the people in the streets in the past year who showed up and stood witness. Those still cleaning the blood from their streets. The time for boycotts is past. We need visible resistance, not absence.

Guess who just showed up unannounced in the middle of a snowstorm at night and shoveled me out? My IMMIGRANT neighbors. Because of course they did.
