The NYT — having been shamed for years for not posting court opinions — now does so, but only with its enraging workaround of posting a link to a page that has individual images of each page of any opinion. So, here, you load a page of 55 images that are completely unworkable for any future use.

Just going to be straight here — no pun intended: I am the only journalist who has been covering this issue in depth, was often the only journalist at hearings, and was the only one explaining what DOJ was actually arguing here. Support my work if you can: www.lawdork.com/subscribe

BREAKING: SCOTUS rejects Trump admin's request to allow it to end gender-affirming medical care in prisons — a significant, if tentative, rejection of one of the admin's most extreme anti-trans arguments. Only Thomas and Alito noted they would have granted the stay. More to come: www.lawdork.com

I recently was asked about “a new world order,” to which I invited us to consider not only who a “new world order” is benefiting, but also push for a reordered world order, one that includes things like a cessation of genocide in Gaza. (1/2)

Interesting fact about John Steinbeck (probably the author I've read the most, given I grew up in California): despite his reputation as a populist and leftist, his last writing was a series of dispatches from the war in Viet Nam. He was pro-America and pro-war.

Israel says killing 20 civilians to get one Hamas fighter is legal. If one American civilian was killed to get one American soldier, Americans would call that a war crime. "Proportionality" is racist, colonial, imperialist self-justifying garbage, because it never works in reverse.

Politics is where culture wars masquerade as religious convictions for the benefit of the wealthy, immoral & power-hungry people. Texans aren't voting for or against their religious beliefs. They are free to practice them. Culture wars are for controlling others. www.yahoo.com/news/politic...

For anyone still confused: No one wants to keep police from arresting suspects at a crime scene or with a warrant. We DON'T want ICE to run loose in the streets abducting people, or shooting people whose kids are in their cars. ICE, despite the "E", is a piss-poor excuse for law enforcement.
