Wilders wants to man border posts. Living below sea level & believing refugees pose the ultimate threat to everything Dutch, & not acknowledging climate change and rising seas or farmers livelihoods takes great intellectual persuasion. Alas religion and racism often provide the justification.

To the extent that WNL Rick Nieman suggests revisiting the 1950 European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) because Europe has changed since the Convention was established. Like Yugoslavia did not happen, Ukraine isn't happening, and NATO chief warning about a war in Europe is fiction.

“Het klimaat kan totaal ontwricht raken. Er kunnen gezinnen met kinderen in garageboxen wonen vanwege de woningnood. Er kan een meteoriet met angstaanjagende snelheid op de aarde af razen – het kan ze allemaal niks schelen. Wij hebben het over asielzoekers."

The U.S. has—had—one of the top intelligence operations in the world. What a resource to make informed decisions. Yet we have an ignorant WH occupant who relies on fringe conspiracists to spread false information. What a danger. What an embarrassment. What a tragedy.

And the white crosses that Trump showed are not graves but a temporary memorial marking the deaths of Glen & Vida Rafferty in August 2020. Two men were convicted of their murders in 2022.

PROOF will have a report out on this massive scam shortly.

The white crosses that Trump showed are not graves. They were a temporary memorial marking the deaths of Glen & Vida Rafferty, killed on their farm in August 2020. Two men were convicted of their murders in 2022. The images are not from South Africa. But from a Reuters clip filmed in Goma DR Congo

Just as the intensity of weather events is increasing, seems like the wrong time to cut funding to NOAA, organized 55 years ago by a Republican President, "...for better protection of life and property from natural hazards...and for… intelligent use of our marine resources."

Alabama alone exported over $11,000,000,000 worth of US vehicles globally in 2023. I doubt the White House interns that compiled this list are aware.

Greed, disguised in phrases like "Creating Shareholder Value" and metrics like "Internal Rate of Return," sent stripped US manufacturing sending it abroad. High tariffs isn’t the answer.

The New Republic@newrepublic.com

The Trump administration isn’t poised to revive manufacturing so much as reward whatever companies and executives happen to cozy up to it and fund Republican campaigns. Life will get harder and more expensive in the process.

The most common duty for imported passenger vehicles to the US is about 2.5% of the car's value. For trucks and vans, the duty is around 25%. For car parts, the ad valorem rates range from 0% to around 10%.

These duties balance what each trading partner values, whether it is access to new markets, lower tariffs, or improved terms of trade. A tariff is a tax on imported goods typically imposed for national security reasons, sanctions, strategic bets on specific sensitive sectors and political reasons.

The confusion is evident when they explain their reasons for imposing tariffs on trade partners. They invoke "revenue generation" for the USA and "industry protection" to discourage foreign imports and protect domestic industries.

The USA is already doing that with "Specific Duties" (i.e. fixed amounts based on measurable criteria like weight or quantity (e.g., $5 per kilogram) or "Ad Valorem Duties" (i.e. a percentage of the product's value (e.g., 10% of the invoice price).

Carville: USAID spent $41 billion the federal budget is 6 trillion. Actually comes to something like .014%. So take that and put it against the 6 trillion and see what you have done when your president is responsible for more federal debt than any president in the history of the United States.

No USAID $$? But wait, Trumps says bribing foreign government officials to win or retain #business is okay. What if countries legalize accepting bribes from US Companies. We will not know who is bribing who to launder green-bucks.
