Halloween decor should look like a witch inherited money.

Normalize putting out Halloween decorations while your hydrangeas are still blooming.

Halloween is the one time of year maximalists receive the respect we deserve.

Dolly created the Imagination Library in 1995 because her father couldn’t read or write. Children receive a book every month from birth until age five—regardless of their family’s income.

One of my favorite Dolly Parton facts: In 2020, Dolly donated $1 million to COVID-19 research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. That funding helped support research connected to the Moderna vaccine. Dolly literally helped fund science that saved lives. Icon doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Imagine if we measured every billionaire and celebrity not by what they own, but by what they gave back. How many children did you educate? How many families did you lift? How many people did you feed? How many doors did you open? How much suffering did you lessen? Dolly understood the assignment.

One of the most incredible Dolly Parton facts: In the early ’90s, Dolly promised local 7th and 8th graders $500 if they graduated high school. The dropout rate for those classes went from 35% to 6%. She didn’t just tell kids to dream. She gave them a reason to believe their future mattered.

Dolly Parton could have taken her fame & built herself a bigger life. Instead she kept making other people’s lives bigger. She helped kids graduate. Gave scholarships. Sent books to millions of children. Helped families rebuild after disasters. Invested in healthcare. Helped protect bald eagles.

Dolly Parton spent her life proving that kindness is not weakness. You can be glamorous, brilliant, wildly successful, unapologetically feminine—and still make leaving the world better than you found it your greatest legacy. That was Dolly. Pure light. 🤍

Just my familiar and me practicing for Scorpio season. 🖤♏️🐶

New business owners: when you’re choosing a business name, don’t forget to check what it looks like with the spaces removed for your website. Because I will forever read whorepresents.com (Who Represents) as Whore Presents 😂

I posted this in a local group on FB but it applies to everywhere. Please consider in your area. ♥️

Found a few of these guys 🐛on my parsley plant today. Excited for the butterflies 🦋

What’s a sentence that instantly tells everyone how old you are?

Gen X-ers! The St. Ives Apricot Scrub Support Group meets Thursdays, next to the Sea Breeze Survivors Meeting at the mall food court.

I don’t trust anyone who survived Sea Breeze and still believes corporations have our best interests.

Every Gen X woman has a beauty product she’d fight on sight if it walked into the room.

The Lisa Frank in us really thought adulthood would involve more neon dolphins and fewer prescription copays.

Raise your hand if your childhood was 50% Lisa Frank and 50% situations that now require a liability waiver.

Half of Gen X nostalgia is just discovering something we loved has a dedicated page on the EPA website.

The most Gen X thing imaginable is finding out your childhood was a class action lawsuit.

Spent the day thinking of you, Dad. The world was a better place with you in it. ♥️

One day you will wake up and love birds 🦆🦅🦉🐦‍⬛

The most American thing about Juneteenth: A war was fought. A proclamation was signed. Slavery was legally ending. And yet thousands of people remained enslaved because powerful people simply ignored it.

Before diversity became a marketing strategy, Black women were mixing foundations, creating custom shades, and solving problems the beauty industry refused to acknowledge. Innovation often starts where exclusion exists. Happy Juneteenth.

Watching the World Cup and all I can think is: How are those moving sideline ads not giving everyone vertigo?

Trillionaire c*nts are taking over the world

There is an evil man named Ed who traps and kills rabbits in Salem MA. Look up the laws, they suck. If I die of a heart attack anytime soon, it was this bastard’s fault. Fuck I’m so sad.

Some people age quietly. I prefer to age like a chandelier falling through the ceiling.

The internet used to be: “Here’s my vacation.” Now it’s: “Here’s a 17-part exposé proving my neighbor is secretly running an alpaca-based pyramid scheme.”

The most dangerous phrase in history might be: “That’s not my problem.”

Madison Square Garden booing Trump during the NBA Finals is the most New York thing to happen in New York since New York invented New York.

Nothing says “New York” quite like an entire arena booing in perfect unison. Honestly, the coordination was beautiful. FDT

Madison Square Garden briefly became the world’s largest Yelp review. FDT

New Yorkers don’t always agree on pizza, politics, or parking. But every once in a while, they find common ground. FDT

I don’t need someone to look like me, love like me, worship like me, or live like me to believe they deserve rights. That’s the whole point.

Happy Pride Month to the kids who grew up feeling different. Some of those differences became their superpowers🌈✨

You can tell a lot about a person by whether they respond to differences with curiosity or cruelty.

The beauty industry owes an enormous debt to LGBTQ+ artists. 🌈♥️ Some of the techniques, trends, aesthetics, and creative risks people profit from today were pioneered by communities that were often excluded from the room.

Happy Pride Month to the people who made the world more colorful simply by refusing to disappear. 🌈✨ Thank you for staying. The rest of us are better for it. ❤️
