David Darlington (Anderson/Oakes)

God I hope Brighton win the fucking thing. City can fuck off and Arsenal are as boring as their traditional reputation once again.

Delap is playing like he's wearing a zarbi costume.

Fuckin' meow. Fuckin' mornin'.

It was either I Hear You Now by Jon & Vangelis or Games Without Frontiers by Peter Gabriel, although it should have been It's Different For Girls by Joe Jackson.

VHS in Velvet Goldmine. Actually it amuses me really.

I can hear on Radio Scotland that the half-time PA at Fir Park is playing "Rocks" by Primal Scream. Seriously?

@waltydunlop.bsky.social Saw this... and thought of you. Also Rialto were in the room.

All I remember is that they wore suits and they wore ties.

Quoted for truth.

Voyage Voyage, obv.

I'm not really paying attention, but I vaguely get the impression that Doctor Who is now an indie kid in skinny jeans and puffer jacket, with blue hair. I'm there for that. Would have been there for it in 2005 TBH.

Meanwhile Dan Ndoye is scoring international goals for shits and giggles.

Dear Oli McBurnie, Are you Graeme Fucking Sharp in disguise? Asking for five million friends. D x

We've had a run of sad losses lately, so it's good of Jeffrey Archer to cheer us up.

Never mind red card, that wasn't even a fucking foul.

After thirty years of being aware of how to say "David Bowie", I'm now relentlessly pronouncing Kieron Bowie's name wrongly. Ah well.

Modric still playing, I see. At least Craig Gordon was a goalkeeper...

Doesn't look like happening anytime soon.

I wouldn't have installed the Forest app on my phone if I'd known it was going to bleep at me every fucking time Oliver Glasner blows off.

I guess it's not every team who can beat Spain.

Celtic actually contrived to be worse than last week. How is that possible?

Trying and failing to understand how this Celtic team has got this far into the league season with a 100% record...

Things I was frightened of as a child: 1. Everything 2. The dark 3. Heights 4. Everything 5. Being constricted 6. Spiders 7. Everything 8. You get the idea.

Oh, and Hipsway.

It's only taken the 48 years to get around to this. You'd think the sods would rustle up a goal at least.

Apparently Ski Sunday was still running. I didn't know it was 1976.

I'm also wrong, cos I missed Marillion (with and without Fish) and, ironically, Fish, and Baby Queen and more I don't want to think about right now...

At a guess, the ten acts I've seen live the most... Suede Ultravox Hue and Cry Manic Street Preachers The Ruts DC Then Jerico Gene Artmagic China Crisis Gary Numan Having removed John Foxx and Duran Duran for not quite making the cut...

Christ I forgot Jesus was playing

Is also like to emphasize that the word Nottingham has a G in it. And two Ts.

We also got "for all intents and purposes" at least four times.

Is Ally McCoist the only man in telly still saying "at this moment in time" every ninety seconds or so?

I often get "Go Reds" type catcalls walking around London in a Forest top. Of course when I come to Glasgow I get an East Midlands voice complaining as I walk into my hotel, on the basis that he's a Notts County fan. I don't actually think I've met one of those before...

Faintly amused that today's match at Ibrox featured players called things like McGeady, McCrorie and Devlin but they're not necessarily playing for the team one might think they are...

Actually, this one I can get on board with TBH.

Dying to point Jim Smith at this and retire to a safe distance.

The correct answer is "Systems of Romance, Vienna, Rage In Eden" and I will not be taking questions at this time.

Six times, she sez. I think there are maybe four films I've seen six times, if you're lucky. None of them is Star Trek. I've not seen any Star Wars or Marvel film so much as one times. I don't think I know what 'Ghibli' means. I wasn't made for these (six) times.

In autumn 1979, I saw City of Death. In summer 1980, I saw it again. A couple of weeks later - literally the day I didn't see The Leisure Hive as I was in an outdoor swimming pool in Ayrshire at the time - I randomly saw The Beast Must Die. Twenty years on, I saw it again and clocked Duggan in it.

If I'm very honest, I barely know who Christopher Nolan is, and I'm at peace with that stance.

You look at me and the darkness leaves.

Very amused by John Gordon Sinclair on the radio at the weekend talking about people asking him what he's been up to since Gregory's Girl. He points out "...you're asking me what I've been doing... since *1980*?"

I enjoy especially that it was won by a team and not a diva purported 'GOAT' supported by ten blokes who are scared of him. Fuck that particular media narrative very much and very specifically.

I'd like to point out two things: Argentina had fewer shots at goal in the final than Scotland did in any of their games, and: we're still the last team to beat the new world champions in a competitive match (and we fucking deserved it too).

I really didn't hate that. Enjoyed watching a team trying to cheat it from second one getting it shoved right up them.

I really hate that in the country that invented rock and roll, they're punctuating extended breaks by playing The Final Countdown.

Wonder what Laurence Fucking Fox has to say now. Well, no I bloody don't, obviously.

INFLUENCER TWATS: STOP HOLDING CLIP-ON LAVALIER MICROPHONES IN YOUR HANDS

A propos of nothing obviously, I would just like to re-emphasise that "not giving a shit about coming third" speaks huge and weighty volumes about why everybody hates you. Ooh. Bit of a giveaway.
