Will is coming to terms with the fact that Americans, even the rich ones, are stupid.

So I disagree, I think there’s a distinction between LYING and MANIPULATING. Manipulating is harder, and involves getting inside someone’s head. It requires a theory of mind. What is unsettling about Holmes is how easy it is to con people without a good theory of mind - simple lying is enough.

I highly suspect that Will doesn't know what children learn in Elementary schools.

To all the quotes and replies gleefully dunking: The post below is unquestionably true, it's literal grade-school logic. If you read it and think "That can't be right, this man is idiot" you should recognize that something has gone wrong with your own thinking.

Noted feminist here with quite the hot take.

Likewise, I think it’s important to learn about the secret crime wave being suffered by real Americans, that isn’t being captured by actual crime statistics

The wind in #Barstow is amazing. Almost like a storm on the coast. The site employee who drove me this visit was amazed to learn I don't know how to drive. "We have trains in Japan. A parking space is more expensive in parts of Tokyo than an apartment". I promised to show him the city if he visits

My current project in California is for a solar facility. The goal is to improve the heat transfer capability of the plant in order to improve electricity production. Solar is not an industry I normally work in. It is a welcome challenge.

Going to warm, remote #Barstow #California for work. We will be commissioning and testing for medium voltage gear for the #Solar industry. I always feel like I'm in a classic #Western film here. Very different than Shinjuku.

Greetings from #Atlanta. I recently completed an assignment in #PA for a pipeline. Next, to #Utah. I will send a few weeks there commissioning another facility. I think I am spending to much time in #USA on airplanes and airports.

On the way to the Eastern Shore of #Mayland to do work for about a week. This will be the first time I have worked in this particular US state since I had to commission the quay cranes at the port of #Baltimore. I look forward to steam crabs at some point this work trip.

Greetings #Edmonton. It has been a while since I have been in Canada, the last time either #Vancouver or #Hamilton. As I have gotten older, the trans Pacific flights have gotten more difficult on me. Very early tomorrow, I head to #Yellowknife.

We are collectively experiencing a slow drift in our mental habits, one that is mostly invisible to us because we experience it as the world becoming more orderly and making more sense. But its effects on us and society have been profound and will get worse.

Very disappointed in the "scrubbed" launch today. It was however a very successful load up of propellant. I look forward to a second attempt tomorrow and must thank my wife and son for putting up the with Dad's crazy hours.

I am very happy to say that the last four VFD's I have commissioned have had no issues. The #Space #Coast is a really neat place to visit and I am glad to have played a small role in the US space exploration efforts. Farewell #Orlando. Util we meet again.

#American potato plants are fascinating. Here in #Burley, #Idaho, I am working at one of the most advanced french fries plant in the world. This one IS makes approximately 1/4th of the global french fries sold. Their data collection on their process is amazing!

I want to wish the many #Americans I work with remotely and in person, a wonderful #Christmas. Especially the fine folks in #Brownsville, #Tx who I am assisting currently from #Shinjuku. It is amazing to me how hard American engineers work.

The #VFD I am commissioned. It is 4160Vac input and output to motor. The shredder application is akin to a large flywheel with hammers. It is important to have rotational speed to impart kinetic energy to the material we are reclaiming. In less than 15 seconds, an entire car can be processed.

In #Denver. Industrial recycling plant. #Troubleshooting the feeder transformer. I always feel meloncoly whenever seeing the #Westinghouse logo. Such a large company that went under due to bad investments. Trying to find wiring diagram and part numbers from the 1980's.
