What information should a label provide on an artist's release page? The answer is context, context, context! With the recent Orginal EP by Hone Sound we've created a blueprint for upcoming releases. This year, we're planning to add all the releases from 2015 onward in the same way to the website.

Original EP by @honesound.bsky.social is now featured on @bandcamp.com ✨ "Whether dealing in atmospheric breakbeats or left-field footwork, this reliable Danish production duo never misses a beat."

Something that Bandcamp challengers seem to miss is that a meaningful contextual connection of fans, artists, and labels IS the driving economic factor for independent music business. Just ask artists or labels about it. Good article by Shawn Reynaldo: firstfloor.substack.com/p/bandcamp-w...

Cheers to Gotham City!

Sun People has released his first album called "Look Within" on his own label All Things. He is one of the few artists with a distinctive style, switching safe between footwork and techno and beyond. We're big fans of his musical vision for the future. Now go checkout his album: album.link/ATR001

Hey hey, a new @sunpeople.bsky.social release is out, this time on his own imprint All Things. It's a teaser of his upcoming album no less. We love it and we think you might too.

For the longread crew: Francis and I had the absolute pleasure of talking to Fracture about UK jungle history, pirate radio, the parallels with punk culture, and the freedom to build bridges between scenes without pigeonholing artists.

It's a first: release infos on our own label website. Powered by @ghost.org we're ready to publish on the web, send as newsletter as well as be prepared to be part of the Fediverse soon. Give Acid Lab's debut a listen, it's a beautiful single.
