A reminder: A voter is not a demographic. A voter is a person with a mortgage, a medical bill, a kid, a parent, a job, a landlord, and a thousand reasons to be exhausted. Treat people like humans and the numbers usually follow.

The hype over massive data center revenue is dizzying, but does it actually benefit local workers? We need economic development plans centered on sustainable jobs for Oregonians, not just corporate profits fueling endless servers. https://loom.ly/3AmEQwQ

opb.orgOregon counties, cities say data center moratorium could cost them millionsOregon’s rural leaders say they were blindsided by Gov. Tina Kotek’s moratorium. Hillsboro is moving in a different direction.

I have seen a lot of political slogans come and go. The ones that last are usually pretty simple: Who has power? Who doesn’t? What are we going to do about it?

It feels like modern life is just rolling back into a company-town nightmare. Wages haven't kept pace with productivity since 1971, & now Wall Street aims to own 40% of single family homes by 2030. This level of institutional control over housing is deeply worrying for Oregon.

People shouldn't have to work themselves into the ground just to stay afloat. Oregon needs leaders who understand the pressures facing working families & the importance of building communities where people can afford to live & thrive. Oregonizers proudly endorses Joanna Robinson for HD 15.

The billionaire class has spent decades convincing working people that their neighbor is the problem. Conveniently, they never mention the guy owning the yacht.

We need communities where people can earn a living, access the services they need, and build a future without being priced out. Oregonizers proudly endorses Ricki Ruiz for House District 50.

Voting Democrat is often about stability. Respect for institutions, peaceful transfers of power, and basic governance matter when the alternative is constant chaos and conspiracy politics.

Our coastal communities need representation that understands the challenges local families, workers & small communities face. Building a stronger future means taking people's everyday concerns seriously & making sure every community has a voice. Oregonizers proudly endorses Cyrus Javadi.

A fair shot at a good life shouldn't depend on your ZIP code, your income, or whether you already have connections to people in power. Oregonizers proudly endorses Lesly Munoz for House District 22. Let's build an Oregon where working families have real opportunities & every community has a voice.

We rebuilt the Oregonizers website with people in mind who have better things to do than spend their evening trying to decode government websites. Explore. Learn. Get involved. Or just wander around and see what you find. https://oregonizers.org

The goal isn't to convince every stranger on the internet. The goal is to make sure nobody in your circle sits out because they forgot, got busy, or thought their vote didn't matter.

You don't have to move the whole mountain. Move one stone. Get one person registered. Make one phone call. Talk to one neighbor. Bring one more person with you. Then let somebody else move the next stone. Dulé Hill had the metaphor figured out years ago.

Public school prepared me for: earthquakes. fires. nuclear war. active shooters. Somehow they skipped: menopause during a global rise in authoritarianism. Would have appreciated a worksheet.

Democrats generally approach immigration as a policy challenge to manage rather than a group of human beings to demonize. That difference shapes everything from border policy to how communities are treated.

Oregonizers proudly endorses Mark Gamba for House District 41. We need leaders willing to think beyond the next election & work toward a future that serves the public.

Funny how we're always told businesses need tax breaks, subsidies, incentives, and a helping hand to survive. But when workers can't survive on their wages, suddenly it's a personal budgeting problem. WHY IS BUSINESS SURVIVAL A PUBLIC POLICY PRIORITY BUT WORKER SURVIVAL A PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY?

Rural Oregon needs nurses. When the licensing process can be cut from 60 days to a matter of days, that's a practical change that gets people into the communities that need them. The question for Christine Drazan: what's your plan to do better?

Once again we see Governor Kotek discussing ways she wants to house people & provide help to working families & Drazan's talking directly to Boomers who are worried about their investment portfolios.

Oregon needs leaders who understand that a stronger economy means more than bigger profits for businesses. Oregonizers proudly endorses Willy Chotzen for House District 46.

“Democracy only works for those of us who show up.” Well. There it is. Not fancy. Not complicated. Just show up, use your voice, & help decide what happens next.

One of the things that pisses me off more than almost anything else is watching people pretend that demanding accountability from Democrats somehow means I'm helping Republicans.

Oregonizers proudly endorses James Manning for Senate District 7. Our democracy is stronger when public service means showing up for the people you represent.

Every tax cut for rich people gets sold like they're about to walk downtown & buy $12k worth of coffee from a local café. In reality, the money disappears into an investment portfolio before your neighborhood bookstore even unlocks the front door.

"We're going to make sure working people earn enough to live with dignity. We'll fight poverty wages, enforce labor laws, and make employers accountable for how they treat the people whose work keeps their businesses running." THAT'S an affordability agenda.

When Drazan had the chance to make massive data centers pay their fair share of energy costs & help lower household utility bills, she voted no. You don't get to campaign on affordability while voting against making things more affordable.
