I'm hearing that Fight Night at the White House was organized and funded by the Make-a-Wish Foundation. This was arranged shortly after Trump's most recent "annual" physical exam.

CPB’s use of a laser to shoot at a “drug cartel drone” that was actually just a red balloon near El Paso embodies its failures - poor training and communication, exaggeration of a threat, excessive use of force. The only bright spot was that it didn’t say the balloon was a domestic terrorist.

Congress: Do Your Job!

If he ends the War in Venezuela will had add it to the list of wars he has ended in his bid for the Nobel Peace Prize?

As a businessman, Trump would make contracts and hire people, then break the contracts and not pay the people, then drag things out so long that they would give up. Much of the time, they did. He’s handling the Epstein file release the same way. It won’t work this time, though.

Trump is such a kidder. You knew he was joking when he said he hated his opponent, because right afterwards the drummer did a rimshot (budda-BOOM"), and then Trump said "thank you, ladies and gentlemen, I'll be here all week!) www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

President Trump's mental deterioration continues. www.the-independent.com/bulletin/new...

President Trump says he hates his opponents. Some enterprising reporter should ask him if he hates Putin.

For years we've wondered what it would take for a significant number of Trump supporters to give up on him, or at least start reconsidering their support. We can now add one more item to the "won't" list: A MAGA supporter assassinating a MAGA leader in one of the reddest states in our country.

Interesting juxtaposition of headlines on this afternoon's The Hill website.

My proposed constitutional amendment in celebration of the 4th of July: "The words 'person' and 'people' in this Constitution refer only to human beings." If you disagree, please say why.

Door to the Ace Hardware Store in Crested Butte, CO. I was in the store to buy a flag for the march in nearby Gunnison on Saturday. Thanks, Ace, for supporting this important event.

I'm looking forward to the release of the new opera "Trump Und Musk." It will be composed by AI in the style of Richard Wagner and performed in the original German.

The Oval Office scene of T and V telling Z that he has no cards, while Z was sitting on a bodacious plan to do serious damage to Russia, has become an instant classic, right up there with Neville Chamberlain's "peace in our time" video and Truman holding up the "Dewey Defeats Truman" newspaper.

My friend Auden Schendler is coming to the Alliance Center in Denver on June 10 to discuss his great new book about climate complicity. I'll be there. If you will be in town I encourage you to attend as well. givebutter.com/XndBsw

If Secretary Warm Cookies wants to claim there's a War on Mining he'll have to get in line behind the War on Cars, the War on Christmas, the War on Guns, the War on Straws, the War on Stoves, the War on Shower Heads, etc. www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

It's official: Trump is a PANICAN.

Tremendous organizing opportunity for the opposition. Line the route with people holding signs saying "We support you, troops, but not your commander in chief." 47 is organizing the event for us; all we have to do is show up. Book your travel to DC now! thehill.com/policy/defen...

Dude has been in office for two months, has produced nothing on his promises to get everything fixed quickly and easily, now says it will take delay and pain, but believes he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, his face on Mt. Rushmore and a third term. I'd like some of the meds he's on for myself.

I'm not sure why President Trump wants "anti-American ideology" removed from the Smithsonian. I thought his entire administration was grounded in anti-American ideology. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...

Memo to Josh Weil, the Dem nominee: "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, and then you win." The GOP is at the next-to-last step now. www.politico.com/news/2025/03...

I love the sign that the Lutheran church at the corner of our block in Denver has put up.

Trump is canceling federal funding for tree-planting. He seems to have forgotten the executive order he signed in 2020 committing the U.S. to the international "One Trillion Trees" initiative. New mantra: "Rules were made (by me) to be broken (by me)." trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/articles/pre...

Elon has given federal workers a tremendous opportunity to showcase their value. They can create a compelling government-wide portrait of all the great things they are doing. I hope they take full advantage of it! They should be accurate and proud of what they do. www.politico.com/news/2025/02...

In view of recent layoffs at the National Park Service and threats to sell off public lands, it may be time to dust off my 1982 article "In Defense of Federal Parks Near Urban Areas" about efforts early in the Reagan Administration to divest federal parks back to the states.

"Sticks and stones may break our bones, but words like "climate change" and "clean energy" will hurt us even more, which is why we are scrubbing them out of the lexicon of the federal government."

When bad guys in action movies take over a building, they disable the guards first and then turn off the cameras. Remind you of anything?

It's usually illegal to put electronic goods in the trash or regular recycling. A great option in Denver is Blue Star Recyclers. Today I brought them a slide projector, a digital scale, accoustic headphones (all broken) and some old VHS tapes. They were able to take all of them. Disposal w/o guilt!

My city could rename my neighborhood park as "Rule of Law Park." It could do the same with its other parks, e.g. "Climate Change Park, Kennedy Center Park, USAID Park," etc. Other cities could follow. All parks would revert automatically to their original names four years from now. Thoughts?

Scene from the National Western Stock Show in Denver, where urban kids can connect with western lore. 1-23-25.

I follow a few webcams around the world. This shot was taken at mid-day on Tuesday, Jan. 21 along Bourbon Street in New Orleans. It doesn't look like this often.

Congratulations to President Trump. During his inaugural address he promised that on his watch Americans will be able to buy any car they want. When I woke up this morning I found that we all already could. Tremendous overnight success! Wow, he works fast!

Ten years ago I visited the Nat'l Civil Rights Museum on the site where MLK was assassinated. It presents the facts of the assassination clearly. I came away convinced that the shooter, James Earl Ray, did not act alone. Still hoping the full truth eventually comes out. www.civilrightsmuseum.org

This morning I logged out of Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp until Jan. 26, 2025. I'll spend the week learning more about how to maximize the value of BlueSky.

My article on LinkedIn about how #climate action activists need to change strategies and messaging as we head into the final four years of Trump. It's a five-minute read. Comments and criticisms are welcome. Critics should include their proposed alternatives. www.linkedin.com/pulse/trumps...

Our internet provider now offers fiber-based service. We switched over on Jan. 8. The change in speed is dramatic, especially the upload speed. Our rate stays the same and is locked in. Installation was quick and free. (You may have to select the photo to see all of the data.)

Our son Sam's new book of short stories, "All Your Friends Are Here," is now available for purchase. Sam writes under the pen name "M. Shaw," a play on "Mischa," the name of the Siberian husky we adopted when Sam was a teenager. store.tenebrouspress.com/products/all...
