Security plugins in WordPress won’t save a poorly maintained site. Weak passwords, outdated core/themes/plugins, and bad hosting are bigger risks than missing a firewall. Security starts with smart decisions, not just another plugin.

Slow queries can kill performance in WordPress. Optimize them with these steps: 🔹 Use WP_Query efficiently -no query_posts. 🔹 Add indexes to large db tables. 🔹 Use transients for caching freq queries. 🔹 Limit post revisions to reduce database bloat What’s your approach to optimizing queries?

I need to load a WordPress page of a full website on a subdomain. I’ll try this method to load the specific WordPress page without redirection. Anyone tried this before? Thoughts?

I did a Youtube video with internal mic on the MacBook, and no thumbnail. It's not even my native language so I just did it, without thinking. I got 2 subscribers 😱. Perhaps, there is a lesson here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vq5i...

Developing WordPress plugins isn’t for the faint of heart—especially when migrating or transforming data in the DB. Once you ship, it’s out of your hands, and that’s the nerve-wracking part. You can’t predict every install, and if something breaks, fixing it isn’t always simple.

I made a quick video showing how my process to update to new Laravel installer was. Also installed Laravel 12 with Starter Kit (React). Nothing too fancy but would be great to get some feedback. Beside the constants "ehhh..." I think the result is acceptable. youtu.be/vq5iq-lBCw8

I'm reading about Cold Emails. As an introvert person, it's not easy to me to do things like that but life is about pushing boundaries and growing in the process. What do you think about Cold Emails? coldstartblueprint.com/p/why-cold-e...

Thinking about how I can add more value to websites made with WordPress in Uptime Monitor Pro. Yes, I love WordPress (in case you did not noticed before 😂) as many of you do and would like to see that reflected in UMP. Open to ideas. 💡🤔

Second issue: Some website were not working with Keyword Detection in the content because the Uptime Monitor were not detected as a Supported Browser. I had to improve the web scrapping procedure. It's working like a charm now. If you want to see the results, take a look at uptimemonitorpro.com

First issue: CloudFlare blocked requests from the Uptime Monitor. I had to put a Datacenter Proxy in the middle. I was ready to do it anyway because I needed to setup the foundation to have checks from multiple regions. I fixed the issue an now I'm ready for multiple regions.

Today I had the worst challenge since I started working on Uptime Monitor Pro. Cloudflare is blocking the monitor in some cases, for some websites. I already have a solution and I'm testing it thoroughly. I will give more info as soon as I finish the test. It's looking good. uptimemonitorpro.com

At least the last three blocks I created for WordPress are dynamic blocks using a shortcode to generate the output. That makes it compatible with all page builders automatically. Builder can use the shortcode or I can create a custom component for it. Is there a better approach?

New feature rolled out for Uptime Monitor Pro. Now you can reset your uptime data, including incidents as well as certificates and domain validations.

How many years has it been since you set up your first WordPress website/blog?

This weekend I will have to record some videos as the first version of the SaaS documentation I'm working on. Writing documentation is not so much fun, but it is necessary. However, shooting videos for the documentation is fun.

Does this count as touching some grass? I never get tired of seeing waterfalls. How could I? Ojos del Caburgua, Araucanía, Chile. 🇨🇱

For the past two months I have been working on a SaaS. Slowly, but steadily, in my spare time. Now it's ready to launch and I've never been so scared in my life about something I'm shipping.

I'm working on a product that has zero AI on it. I'm wasting my time?

Once you integrate Slack for notifications in Laravel, doing it for Discord feels like cheating. laravel.com/docs/11.x/so...

It's impressive what you can achieve nowadays with jQuery. Plus, it comes by default with WordPress, so there's no problem getting started. Sometimes it's just not worth the hassle of adding a new framework.

I love and owe so much to WordPress, but I also love Laravel. The good thing is that they are so different, even in their possible applications, that there is no conflict at all. And yes, I am aware of Statamic.

What would you choose? - Small, new SaaS with fast and outstanding support. - Big, well featured and established SaaS with a normal support.

I would like to take more photos. I would like to make more videos. The truth is I spend the whole working day writing code and I enjoy it but at the point is counterproductive because I'm missing things I would like to do too.

What's the deal with Qwen2.5-Max? Is it good for code generation? It outperforms DeepSeek?

Look at the smoke in the crater. It’s active, it’s majestic, it’s beautiful and I’m so happy to be there. What an experience. What makes it even better? Being there with my wife and kids. Check. ❤️

Delivered a WordPress website with Block Theme to one of our clients. Two weeks later I'm doing a follow-up, and the client installed Elementor and it's using it on every new page or template. 🫤 ☠

It is terrible what is happening in California. Here in Chile we are very familiar with wildfires, but this doesn't even compare. 😞
