MAD's Al Jaffee created new Fold-Ins for 57 years. He did his last one at age 99. But he never saw what his finished paintings looked like when folded until they were published. And they all worked. Jaffee didn’t design all of them inside his head just so you could tell me that AI is “inevitable”.

For J.K. Rowling's 60th birthday, I'm posting an excerpt from my "Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows" MAD Magazine parody. It's where Rowling transforms two females (including Hermione) into transexual males. Wish I'd known then about her future transphobic smallness. Accio satiric retaliation!

25. Still need more witches? In that case, you'll be glad to know that MAD featured the Harry Potter franchise more times than I care to count. Writers/Artists: Desmond Devlin, Tom Richmond, and Sergio Aragonés.

New on the Patreon: One of my favorite MAD gigs, a 3-pg article from MAD Magazine #518 (Dec, 2012) called “Trademark Graffiti”, (written by Desmond Devlin, colors by Sarah Dyer). The illo below is from the article, feat. a nod to Al Jaffee's "bone in the vomit" bit. www.patreon.com/posts/mad-ma...
