Theres a lot of other things I've seen about Warcraft Forever so far that makes me not interested, chief among them being that I never liked the idea of Classic+ to begin with But it's actually kinda wild how much Firstname Lastname actually completely killed it for me. Killed it dead. Ruined it

playable horde goblin really pissed me off as a kid in a way I cant quite explain when I eventually tried out Cataclysm on a private server I rolled Worgen and played alliance because I didnt wanna see what Cataclysm had done to the zones I actually cared about

I'll be honest I think Belf and Dranei were like the perfect balance-weight expansion races and it could have just stopped there (and, well, did for me I guess)

Horde got a pretty paladin, Alliance got a monstrous Shaman, and there weren't pre-established NPC settlements full of them like Goblins or Worgen that kinda made things weird to think about.

I dealt with it in FF14 (begrudgingly) because that game, at the end of the day, is so incredibly different from WoW that I was able to almost be like "its a different KIND of MMO its fine" But I cant do that when the game LOOKS like WoW

Also I just really do not like neutral races, I never liked that idea for Pandaria, so the Skyborne are really setting me up for "Oh, they're going to make a whole bunch of modern decisions here I hate"

Every time I see something that makes me think "Well, I'll at least maybe give it a shot...?" I remember that characters have to be Firstname Lastname now and I just go "Oh actually, no." I hate surnames in MMOs so fucking much, I dont get it lmao. I dont know why its such a sticking point for me
