I just know deep in my soul that Shelley Parker-Chan is somewhere in Australia writing the banger of the century. I know this in my heart. Whatever they do next is going to be insane.

It's filmed in a mockumentary style, it's really funny!! And you don't have to know Polish history in order to watch it, but if you do, it's even better (and if not you'll learn something) #1670

I want more people to watch 1670 on Netflix, it's such an amazing show with amazing actors and it's QUEER and POLISH which is just incredible! And the costumes!! The colours! The cinematography! Everything's so vibrant!

I find it a bit funny (and frustrating) when people say fantasy inspired by Europe is overdone when said "Europe" ends at the eastern border of Italy, followed by a huge blank space, and then oh, there's Russia, and that's basically it.

This lecture series is so good beyond just understanding Ukraine. It goes into detail about what history is, what narratives and myths exist about nations (and their supposed origins) and gives a broad picture on languages and cultures in (Central and) Eastern Europe.

Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began two years ago, the most useful thing I've done is this lecture series on Ukrainian history. Thanks to Yale for making it public. youtube.com/playlist?lis...

It really puts into perspective where Western Europe stood for a long time and how relevant it was (not very), showcasing cultural exchange from the Mediterranean regions to Southern and Eastern Europe.

For Germans in particular this is very important to understand and it just isn't taught in schools at all. It's such a good basis to understand Ukraine, but also Russia and to some extend Germany. Studying history will help you in your political education and activism as well.

I don't know how to explain to the people who pop up when creatives complain about "AI" to say there are legit uses for it just how much they sound like someone saying "Well actually fire is used to make bread" when people are talking about an organized arson ring burning down their fucking houses

German commentators be normal about queer men in figure skating challenge (the 'anyone can be out these days luckily because it's no longer a problem' 💀 coming from someone is whose country the first out football referee just got hatecrimed....) #MilanoCortina2026 #fs

It's here 🙏😍😍😍 this is the first time my NPC get illustrated!! Thank you @sternengreif.bsky.social I will try to keep them alive (unless it doesn't serve the narrative anymore 😔 jk I'm attached now too)

You know, some days I sit and think about how absolutely wild it is that we've built a society where we don't provide a place for people to even sleep at night without having to pay for it, and that we've somehow made it seem like that's normal.

Where do people go to talk about #TheSovereign by C. L. Clark? I can't believe it's over but it was so satisfying and complex!! These past few years many final books of trilogies felt like such a letdown, but The Sovereign just delivered 🙏

You are up to date.
