He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.- Nietzsche I put folks on blast for misinformation. It's how we got here. AI slop or otherwise.

There are so many things wrong with this country. And I have hated it, at times. Good people have suffered for generations. But that does not mean I will allow a monster to amplify that suffering, to weaponize the worst inclinations of a flawed republic that is capable of so much more.

This statue of Punch in the Mercer Museum. My Mom would leave me in the vestibule when she went to the library, and it was just him and me.

Things I was frightened of as a child: Quicksand The Bermuda triangle Spontaneous human combustion Having my feet cut off by a train (public information film) Drowning in a slurry pit (ditto) Being run over near an ice-cream van (ditto) The Cybermen Heights Still not great with heights tbh

Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him. “When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

Evan Kilgore is a right wing troll. Some DJ on Twitter said he was the shooter based on...nothing, really. Then someone made a picture. This reaks of bullshit. Rage bait posts on the right got us here. We should try to be better.
