Dulverton West 03.10.26 We took a trip to the edge of Exmoor to pay a visit to the Dulverton West at Porte Cottage, between Patchole and Blackmoor Gate. They were gathering in the farmyard for a morning of cub-hunting when they spotted sabs waiting on the road. 🦊🧵01/05

Having failed to manifest their desired police protection, the hunt decided they’d rather not risk hunting in front of sabs. Hounds remained in the van, quad bikes were loaded back onto their trailers and everyone left for home. 04/05

This resulted in an hour-long conflab. Various hunt followers were sent out to take pictures of our numberplate (they looked very pleased with themselves for having achieved that!) and the police were called. 02/05

⁨Eggesford Hunt 26.09.26 We spent an hour with Eggesford’s new huntsman, Harry Cook (former whip at the Tiverton Staghounds), at their Ellmead cubbing meet. By 9.30am they were all packed up and having breakfast back at the farm. 🦊🧵 01/05

After another half hour of chasing hounds up and down the valley, sabs found them marking to ground at a badger sett on the side the hunt aren’t supposed to be on… 04/05

Still reeling from their convictions that week, the hunt whipped out a pretend trail as soon as they spotted our drone in the air. They do this every few years when they’re feeling a bit bruised and vulnerable. 02/05

As soon as sabs were in the field with them, the hunt ran off to the north and headed back to the meet to stuff their faces with sausage rolls before going home nice and early. 03/06

Dartmoor Hunt 29.08.26 Harry Gosling and the rest of the Dartmoor Hunt got a surprise in the early hours of the morning as we appeared out of the darkness right next to them, as they were holding up Grange Plantation and drawing the hounds through the woodland. 🦊🧵01/05

The Hunt returned to the farm via the New Wastes and the Water Treatment works and packed up around 8:30am. 04/05

Dartmoor Hunt 29.08.26 Harry Gosling and the rest of the Dartmoor Hunt got a surprise in the early hours of the morning as we appeared out of the darkness right next to them, as they were holding up Grange Plantation and drawing the hounds through the woodland. 🦊🧵01/05

With their 'fun' interrupted Gosling made a run for it through the meet at Yadsworthy Farm and up onto the moor, where the already poor conditions continued to deteriorate. Heavy rain and 40mph gusts meant that visibility was very poor. 02/05

The two incidents took place last season when he drove into one of our sabs at the Eggesford Hunt opening meet and aggressively squared up to Plymouth & West Devon Hunt Sabs while out with the Spooners & West Dartmoor Hunt. 02/07
