A warm home, a decent job, groceries and rent that don’t cost your entire salary, a good education, access to nature. It is not too much to ask. The right to protest must be defended. The right to a decent life must be demanded.   We are with you.

A better world is here, thanks to the people in Serbia and Brazil who fought relentlessly for democracy, social justice, the climate and against their authoritarian opponents. Today, we celebrate the people’s victory, a better world and hope. The people united will never be defeated ✊💥

We want the world. Or nothing. 💥 All over the world, young people are standing up against corruption, the cost-of-living crisis, climate change and systemic oppressions. In most places, they are faced with extreme police violence. We stand in the streets, together. Another world is possible.

Ce soir, Macron a passé 8 minutes à parler des casseurs. Pas un mot sur le plus grand d'entre eux, qui casse l'hôpital, casse l'école et casse la démocratie depuis neuf ans.

💥 The European Commission is working on a plan to extend the powers of their Border and Coast Guard Agency, Frontex. They want to fund more guards, border controls, surveillance and deportations. We have to fight back: sign the petition to the Commission! ➡️ fyeg.org/abolish-fron...

This new revision of Frontex would mean more repression, violence, human rights violations and even more deaths at sea. 🔻 We have to fight back! With thousands of us behind this petition and mobilising on the ground, we can force ourselves to be heard.

We want a Europe where people feel safe and welcomed, where people can reunite with their families and belong fully to our communities. A Europe where everyone is treated equally and with dignity. And that is a Europe without borders and deportations. ✍️ Sign the petition: fyeg.org/abolish-fron...

There is no place for hatred, islamophobia and exclusion in democracy. We stand with FEMYSO and against discrimination and fascist groups spreading hate 🔻

In the past, FEMYSO has faced many racist and islamophobic attacks by the far right at these events. And instead of ensuring that young muslims can participate safely, the European Parliament is excluding the very organisation representing them.

We keep fighting. In the coming weeks, the European Parliament as a whole will have to agree on this and we will mobilise again 🔻 Until then, sign our petition (link in bio) and share this thread so your centrist relatives find out who they’re really voting for. fyeg.org/stop-mass-de...

📣 Send an email to the socialist and liberal politicians who will make or break this law. Ask them: will you side with fascists on migration? Together, we can still stop this🔻 Once this becomes “normal”, there’s no going back.

Socialists and Liberals are the ones deciding if this passes or fails. In public, they oppose Trumps’ politics. But behind closed doors, they could be his policies’ biggest enablers and vote in favour of a plan that would criminalise migration even further.

What’s our take, pt.2? Stop funding the 1%. ➡️ fyeg.org/fair-money-f... No to an agricultural plan that funds factory farms and big corporations while 800 small farms shut down every single day in Europe. Sign the petition and tell politicians negotiating this: we need socially just agriculture.

Debunking the EU's toxic relationship with agriculture ⤵️ A third of the EU's budget is funding agriculture through the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). And still, farmers spread potatoes throughout the streets of Brussels one month ago in protest. What's that all about?

Another CAP is possible 🥕 The good thing is, CAP does not have to stay the same. It can instead: - make sure every farmer in Europe deserves a fair chance, not only those backed by powerful lobbies; - put social justice at the centre and support agro-ecological practices.

The Culprit: The core issue with CAP money distribution lies in the per-hectare funding - the more land a farm has, the more money it gets. This leads to an agricultural sector where small farms disappear, while the industry is consolidated into the hands of fewer and fewer mega-farms. Besides...

Sustainable farming? The EU is not impressed. Another problem with CAP's funding mechanism is that sustainable farming practices like agroecology or multi-crops are just not rewarded enough. So not only does CAP damage competition in agriculture, but it fails to stop the destruction of nature.

➡️ CAP is broken, but we can still fix it: fyeg.org/fair-money-f... Even though a lot of European money is going into this programme, the way this money is distributed is extremely skewed in favour of the big agribusinesses. But don't take our word for this, let us show you the numbers:

For the few, not the many 🚜 Up to 40% of CAP subsidies go to the top 1% of recipients. And the top 20% of recipients receive an average of 80% of the CAP money. How is it possible that such a huge amount of EU tax money end up to the richest players in the agriculture industry?

What’s our take? Fuck Fortress Europe. No to ICE-style raids, children in prisons, violence, repression and Trump politics in Europe. Sign the petition to fight Europe’s new plan that would make mass deportations the new norm. fyeg.org/stop-mass-de... 🔻

😇 Now that January is out of the way, let’s focus on resolutions we will actually keep. Like donating to @fyeg.org and investing in a greener, more equal Europe where everyone can afford rent. 🫶 Invest in your future, donate now ➡️ fyeg.org/donate

ICE at the Olympics isn't a coincidence. It's a test to see if we stay silent while they import even more ICE-style tactics into Europe. And there's a new plan for that: the "return regulation" would allow deportations before appeals, raids, and up to 2 years in detention prisons, even of children.
