Late last year I interviewed a host of folks from one of my greatest loves… ‘The DIY Arcade scene’ for Issue 5 of @apwot.bsky.social This week the weighty and lovingly designed issue dropped through the letterbox…

APWOT is such a fantastic magazine, please continue to support this work!

But it's Cas that deserves a whole extra heaping of praise for a decade of work in making videogames and writing an art form and for being so willing to give up his own time. He's also the GOAT. APWOT 7 is out soon. It'll slap. Long live videogames mags. www.kickstarter.com/projects/caz...

Issue 5 is finally back in stock!! 🦄 shop.apwot.com

Ah man 🥹 look at us... But also look at all the other great mags discussed here including APWOT!!! We've not been shy in discussing that @apwot.bsky.social was an influence on us. And it goes beyond invoking that mag's spirit and beauty. APWOTs founder, Caspian, was instrumental in issue 01.

PixelCrib is chockas with good stuff. LPs, art books, many delights, including our good friends at @apwot.bsky.social. Buy all the indie mags you can !!!

A Profound Waste of Time is by far one of the best video game publications out there right now. Just got this in and I can't wait to read through it.

For our Easter kickstarter update that went live the other day, I spoke about the cover test prints, and also highlighted two campaigns worth backing by @bossfightbooks.com and @continuemag.bsky.social. Have a look! 🐣 www.kickstarter.com/projects/caz...

Almost finished reading Impact of Iwata, have this on my shelf waiting to be embarked upon next. This series is THE best gaming print publication out there atm imo so I’m excited to see what they cooked up last year.

its good friday so i just want to extend good vibes to some things that are Good, and starting with caspian, the brains behind @apwot.bsky.social, who provided so much care and guidance to @continuemag.bsky.social as we brought the mag into the world. extremely good! thanks cas!!!

What a cover! There may be a few words from me in this one 👀...

IT'S SO GORGEOUS

I love the design consideration made with A Profound Waste of Time in that every page ends in a full stop; there are no sentences that wrap over to the next page. I'd imagine it could be a logistical design nightmare at times! @apwot.bsky.social

I just finished reading the first issue of @apwot.bsky.social I've never seen a magazine of such high quality, both in terms of content and design. The articles are super interesting and the layout is Wow!
