It has been about 3 years since I've written in my blog (which just hit its 16th year anni in June!). Just enough time for me to have experimented with updating a content prioritization framework I use that I've now updated to factor in AEO considerations. blog.digital-danielle.com/2026/08/aeo-...

Has anyone in the organic discovery, AEO, GEO, AI search, LMNOPEO world been able to test if AI bots run crawl queues from pages they access via RAG? I have seen some studies indicating they really only pull metadata in most cases which would definitely indicate no.

Looking for legit AEO/GEO case studies. Found a LinkedIn article with several supposed ones. Went to all the direct sources and the UTM parameters are from chatgpt (as in the LI "expert" just used it to write everything) & all were agency sites describing their approach to earn you as a client 🤦‍♀️

Still digging into this but it looks a lot like the current trending topics in G Trends!

This is a neat feature, and excellent for a quick overview. It's also handy to point folks who are a bit less savvy with the performance report, or have less time / interest in the nitty gritty and want some more high level overview stuff. developers.google.com/search/blog/...

I always like looking at those trends to get an idea of the entity linking. This one seems a bit more obvious though via semantic relevance vs. trends often links based on recent news, like Katy Perry & Trudeau are a trending topic but separate entities that got linked due to the news.

Where are my Merchant Center pros? If our Shopping (think ads) data feed uses no indexed pages, does that makes us ineligible for free listings? Can we use the canonical_link field in the data to indicate the indexable page to use for free listings?

In February, I started researching to write a near-future dystopian story to harness my anxiety & rage over the news. I'm really disappointed to find more & more news that indicates my predictions for that future are spot on. Maybe I need to write it into being, so my ragtag team can save us all.

My kiddo loves the Z-O-M-B-I-E-S movies from Disney. It's the premiere for the latest so we made themed snacks. Pink & green popcorn & shrimp for the OG Seabrookers then garlic crackers, Sun chips, oranges for the Daywalkers then grapes, blueberries and a cheese crescent moon for the Vampires

I saw Gypsy yesterday evening and it was also fantastic in the typical musical fashion. Audra McDonald was fantastic as many people hyped but I think underrated (until maybe hopefully she gets her Tony) is Joy Woods performance as Louise, such a character arc to cover and played phenomenally.

So relieved that United changed my flight for my upcoming trip to NYC and offered a refund. Had booked to fly into EWR before all this mess lately, and it was making me so nervous. Headed thru LGA on my preferred airline now!

Going to see Maybe Happy Ending and Gypsy when I'm back in NYC next. To gear up for seeing Darren Criss in MHE, should I rewatch all of Glee before then?! As a show choir kid, I loved that show. #broadway

Interesting that the "first woman ever to be elected to those positions" is mentioned when that is what they've been purging from records throughout government.

Are we already at model collapse? venturebeat.com/ai/the-ai-fe...

Today, r/facepalm is the source of this misinformation. Remember, that same site that said to add glue to your pizza. Before Google turned off Reddit AIO citations… only to turn them back on.

At this rate the pattern seems to be ... Say something stupid over the weekend or late in the week for a sell off and then walk it back a day or two into the next week. 😒

"I have no intention of firing him" -- Trump on Jerome Powell

$5k wouldn't have covered the costs of my hospital stay since we had to stay for 4 days due to a large drop in birth weight. Thankfully we had a huge coverage from our insurance at the time (which no surprises has been dropped by that company since).

I think I have a new fav #musical! &Juliet takes good things from other musicals & makes them better. 💅Energy, costuming & female empowerment of Six 🕰️ History anew like Six & Hamilton 🎶 Popular music integration like Moulin Rouge but 00s pop & better comedic timing 📖 Bonus: nerdy English lit jokes

Guy on a main road around here had two Trump flags along with the American flag. We had some major winds recently, so all were taken down. Only the American flag was put back up... Maybe seeing things for what they are or the cheap MAGA merch got wrecked in a storm. 🤔

For weeks, stupid Gemini tried to give me text responses when I asked it to open Spotify while I'm driving. Finally found where to revert back to Assistant and immediately it did what I wanted.

My Pixel has automatically turned my Google Assistant to Gemini since I never opted in. Still haven't opted in and not happy about it.
