To conservatives who’ve objected when some of us have suggested Trump is a fascist, and who’ve complained when some us point out that much of real existing American conservatism has devolved into fascism, if you’re silent about Trump’s threat of genocide you’re proving the point you’ve objected to.

A people who refuse to despise one another are immune to authoritarians because an authoritarian’s power depends on certain groups of people despising other groups of people. This is why there’s so much power in Jesus’ words, “love your enemies.” It is an act of resistance.

NEW: @thebulwark.com has learned exclusively that a network of five thousand faith communities is now disseminating a blueprint for clergy and lay leaders who want to push back against Trump's immigration regime. @adriancarrasquillo.bsky.social reports: www.thebulwark.com/p/exclusive-...

1. Tax cuts that almost exclusively go to the rich 2. Spending cuts that cut programs almost exclusively used by the poor 3. Tariffs, which take a bigger share of the paycheck of working and middle class Americans. It adds up to a striking redistribution from poor to rich.

Whenever a politician claims that God is on their side, all they are doing is reducing God to a mere tool of manipulation in order to get people on their side. It is blasphemy. It is using God’s name in vain. Christians should be the loudest ones opposing such behavior rather than cheering it on.

Oh my! The "Big Beautiful Bill" can't even make it out of the Rep led Budget committee. Grab your popcorn, this could get exciting 🤗

Wowie. Republicans can’t govern, 2025 edition. What an absolute disaster for Johnson and Trump.

I really do think we’re well beyond this point. If you pretend that your differences with friends and coworkers and family are about “politics” when in fact they’re about right versus wrong and fascism versus the rule of law, you’re doing your country a grave disservice.

Republicans Against Trumpism@rpsagainsttrump.bsky.social

Trump’s perceived strength during the election was the economy—many people (wrongly) saw him as the better candidate on that issue. But now, almost 2.5 months into his presidency, more and more people are realizing he’s been a total disaster for the economy and their finances

In 2018 Las Vegas artist Izaac Zevalking painted this mural. It appears to have been updated today for current events by Bill Bramhall of the NYDN. Sadly still relevant, maybe getting worse.

So likely the world’s first Trillionaire Elon, who received $36 Billion in govt subsidies and contracts to generate his wealth, is telling the people who built this country what they can live without, as he giggles with his chain saw. Something ain’t right

You are up to date.
