Wow it now says this: The application included in this pull request failed to pass the Installers Scan test. This test is designed to ensure that the application installs on all environments without warnings. The #winget team from @microsoft.com should really get a better #arm64 test environment.
And once again I had to close our "old" @microsoft.com #winget PR's created by the @imagemagick.org release. 24 days ago we had another release that was still not merged. We publish x86, x64 and arm64. But the #arm64 binaries need manual validation. Starting to wonder if I should remove them.

I have decided to publish version 15.0.0 of Magick.NET on October 10. The upcoming breaking changes can be found here: github.com/dlemstra/Mag...
I wrote another @github.com story. We moved the @imagemagick.org website to @github.com π§ββοΈππ₯: lnkd.in/p/ekhevges
I am probably not the only one who did not notice GlobalPackageReference in CPM of @dot.net .It can be used to reference a @nuget.org package in every project. Here is an example commit: github.com/dlemstra/Mag...

Very proud that I was able to get this to work this weekend. Looking forward to publish a new release of the @imagemagick.org #wasm library that has support for this. And if you have no clue what I am talking about then take a good look at the version π§ββοΈππ₯

I really wish the #winget team would resolve their issue with our @imagemagick.org #arm64 binaries. We are releasing to fast for them to keep up with the manual validation. I just published a new release and the PR in the winget-pkgs will bump it from a version that was released 2 months ago. π’

Every time I (read @github.com workflow) open a pull request to update an @imagemagick.org #winget package the automatic validation seems to feel. I think it attempts to run an #arm64 executable on a x64 host: github.com/microsoft/wi.... Do you know anyone @sinclairinat0r.com that can fix this?
I got myself a new ring with the star of the @imagemagick.org π§ββοΈwand and logo on top of it. But I just realized that this could also be a @github.com stars ringβ

In cased you missed it the @imagemagick.org project is going to follow the lead of the #curl project and we will be taking a summer break from security reports: www.linkedin.com/posts/dirk-l...
Looking forward to this: github.com/github/roadm.... Wonder how it will be compared to my own "solution".
Interesting... the latest @visualstudio.com is showing me a hint that I should remove an unnecessary unsafe keyword but when I do the compiler is telling me to put it back...

Turns out it was some kind of compiler optimization in @visualstudio.com 2026 that caused this to break. But with the help of @github.com #copilot I was able to write a patch that would work around this and also improve the implementation and performance of the method that caused this.
I did not wake up today thinking I was going to learn a lot about debugging dll loading in a shell inside a @github.com actions runner but it turns out I did. Finally got a stack trace that explains to me where my native library is crashing when starting the @dot.net unit tests.

I update this issue regularly: github.com/dlemstra/Mag.... If you are a Magick.NET user make sure you check if there is anything in there that is relevant for you. Today I added: Remove support for 64-bit macOS builds.
With the @imagemagick.org project we use an icon of a wand as our favicon. For our logo we have an eps file but we don't have one of the wand. I have tried some online vectorization tools but they all failed. Do I know anyone who can make vector image of this file: imagemagick.org/image/wand.png

Very proud of myself that for the first time in months (maybe even a year?) I have no pending notifications on @github.com. This will probably change in the next 24 hours but very nice that I could finally work on some of the issues that have been on my unread notifications for ages.
And today was another day where I spend way too much time on invalid security advisories that were reported to @imagemagick.org. I never felt the need to block people from our @github.com repository but I am getting very closing to doing that.
Anyone else using @github.com #copilot for naming? I often ask it for suggestions of names of new things that I want to add. I am now adding a new option for the icon decoder to @imagemagick.org and it helped me pick a better name that what I thought of myself.

Still canβt quite believe this, but itβs official Iβve been renewed as a @GitHub.com Star for 2026 Out of 180+ million developers on GitHub, only ~80 people worldwide are part of this program. Being renewed means a lot; itβs a reminder that the work we do in open source, education actually matters
