But you can call me Log. I run a lovely inclusive pub in Sneinton, Nottingham and do an absolutely gorgeous podcast called Regular Features with my friends. Wrote about video games for a bit. G with the LBTQ+

Oh no, I am up at 4am thinking about the magazine intern who accidentally killed Alan, the Tatler daschund, in a revolving door I’m not getting back to sleep am I

Going through some old things, and while I know my old man had some secrets, I can’t believe THIS is how I found out he was fully instructed in, and understood, the ditching procedures and Safety Equipment used in Whirlwind Mk. 7/ Wessex Mk.1/ Willer H.T. Mk. 2 aircraft

Found this drawing of our family’s second dog, Joe. Nobhead. Would respond to affection with a snarl. Dog psychologist said he was genetically bollocksed and shouldn’t have been bred. He bit my uncle and got a visit from the police after the hospital had to report it.

During the police visit, he became affectionate, unterritorial, and put his paws on the police car window and sloppily licked their face. Then they left, charmed, and he became a dickhead again for the rest of his life. Up there with Cujo. Evil

A woman just told me that she could fart faster than my pub's hand-dryers on her way back to her husband. I assumed they were playing up but no, I went in, and they were pumping out a full hot blast. So I came back out and quipped "you need to get your guts sorted out!"

Meaning, if you fart faster than THAT you've got a probs, lady! OBV! But there was a horrified moment where she and her husband thought I'd gone into the fembogs to sniff her movements, and come out with a noisy appraisal of the bouquet.

Dammit. I reposted a game that felt perfectly home brewed and doable enough to be inspiring, but it was AI voice acted. Balls. How much fun could you have had doing those voices with your mates

Having said that, I didn’t even check to see if it was actually AI voice acted, I just believed the first accusation I saw because they had an air of confident anger, and my feelings and opinions are entirely rootless and flimsy. Someone tell me I’m being preachy/gatekeeping, I will change again

Oh no, checked to see if Scott Thompson from Kids In The Hall has had a redemption arc since “standing with Glinner” and discovered his 2001 New York show was ruined by 9/11. No one was in the mood apparently

Hungover enough to find Google Earth amazing again. Just spinning that guy and zooming in Everyone should factory reset their brains with alcohol, every day. It’s nice

Unless Bag of Bones is a Doomsday thing? Does Doctor Doom call people bags of bones? Does he toot on that mad conch then say “nyah, you stinky bag of bones! I’ll get you next time, nyah”

I just mistook a larger account for a friend i used to know in London, and responded casually, with reference to “the pub” as though they knew I ran one. The sheer presumption! The not knowing my lane! The putting someone into the position where there’s no way to respond! I must slough my skin

Of course in those days you could get onto TV if you could gargle in tune with your friends, or name a lawnmower from the patterns of the grass cuttings

I’m raging at the combination lock in the clinic of British Silent Hill. Those are purely mechanical locks. You can enter the numbers in any order I *tried* to do this and was greeted with a flashing red LED, that these locks don’t have. Immersion ruined. Get a combination lock consultant in, guys

If the combination post-it had started with a C (which, while not part of the code, resets any previous inputs), included an X Y or Z (which these locks always do) and let me input the code in any order, this would have been a genuine masterpiece

My mum’s labradoodle is in a music video, this is huge day for them both

🪏🪏 NEW RELEASE! 🪏🪏 Sennen’s new single, ‘Dig’, is out now on all digital platforms. It’s the second track to be taken from ‘New Quiet’, their first album in over a decade, and comes across like a long-lost indie classic...

Initiated a round of THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME yesterday, where you share locations on WhatsApp and hunt each other around town. I went three stories up a glass building for a dramatic finale, and he went into a Costa. Sometimes i think im the only one taking THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME seriously

Quite pleased that my mum, who lets a lot of radicalising shit wash over her, has decided to start donating to the RNLI without any input from me. Clutching at optimistic straws yes, but at least my desperate fists aren’t empty

I love it when I see a dog and smile, because dogs have got dumb faces and I love them, and when I look up the owner is smiling at me smiling at their dog. Yeah man, you SHOULD be proud of your stupid hairy guy, he rules

Does anyone remember the 16-bit Space Invaders style game which had level passwords that included TRIPTYCH and KEWPIE DOLL? It had a B-Movie style name. I learned a so many words from those level passwords. I really used to look forward to discovering the next one

A bartender saw me using Bluesky and asked “is that BLUESKY” with a derisive bark of a laugh. I finally feel my age, and the appropriate level of distance and disconnect with youth. Thank you
