To be more serious, this is all endemic of the NBA’s lack of care toward the WNBA, a league in which it maintains a massive ownership stake. The NBA Board of Governors gets a say on stuff like WNBA relocation. But then the WNBA gets hung out to dry time and again.

Anti-trans Dems have made it clear they don’t think trans folks are important to their election chances. If that’s the case, cis folks shouldn’t be trying to convince trans people to vote for them. The onus was on the candidate. They failed. Vote shaming will only further alienate you, personally.

What I don’t understand is, GOP operatives are admitting that the anti-trans rhetoric isn’t winning among most voters. In fact, there’s evidence it’s going the opposite in some areas. So the Dems who leech onto this train are abandoning a marginalized community with zero political benefit.

"This election is about the threat of trans kids" is the worst possible messaging for Dems yet so many candidates are leaning into it. No voter will flip R->D over it. Low-info voters read this as "you're focused on bullshit that doesn't affect me" while the base reads this as "you're an asshole."
