I am so honored that I got to be a part of junkyard! Such an exciting idea to encourage hacking for the sake of hacking and revel in the fun and curiosity. Being a judge went by so fast! But I am happy I got to be on stage with my friends and that I was trusted to adjudicate such awesome research.

We are also working on a way to send swag to attendees that cannot make it safely because of the weather. We appreciate your patience as we are a mighty team of volunteers pivoting based on Mother Nature. 🌨️ ☃️

Plus, our badge challenge and Village of Villages CTF will be available online (we’re still tweaking with these - more info soon). We are adding a livestream for attendees (ticket holders) to join us virtually.

We are planning to proceed according to schedule on Saturday, January 24. Given the developing weather situation, we are evaluating adding a virtual component to Sunday, Jan 25.

We are aware of the developing weather situation in D.C. on January 24-25 (during our conference). We are planning to proceed and are continuing to monitor the situation. We encourage attendees to use caution transiting to and from the conference in the case of inclement weather.

We are making preparations for this option and are working through the logistics for this. We appreciate your patience as we navigate the situation! More updates to come.
