It’s been concerning to me how so many non-Black people around me are going through life like nothing’s happening. I feel sick. I’m ended relationships over how people react who claim to be friend and/or ally. Nonnegotiable

Khanna: "This is a Dred Scott court. They have engaged in the fastest rollback of Black political rights since Rutherford Hayes ended Reconstruction in 1877. One-third of African American seats are threatened. We are not speaking up strongly enough against a court that's rolling back civil rights"

"The Gun Lobby's interpretation of the Second Amendment is one of the greatest pieces of fraud - I repeat the word fraud - on the American people by special interest groups that I have ever seen in my lifetime.” Conservative Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger

I don’t think we talk nearly enough about the fact that corporations like Amazon, don’t pay a single cent to maintain the roads they use, the transportation system they use, the courts they use, they pay nothing for the infrastructure that is absolutely critical to their business. WE Pay for

On this day in 1891, Ellen Martin went to the polls in Lombard, IL & demanded to vote. Martin noted that the town’s charter did not explicitly limit voting in town elections to men. The election judges reluctantly agreed with Martin, who reportedly became the 1st woman to vote in Illinois. #WeTheMen

Fiber artist and storyteller Diane Williams did the portraits of the civil rights icons. The mural is on Jackson’s famed Farish Street where Mr. Medgar Evers had his first NAACP office just above the Big Apple Inn where they still sell pig ear sandwiches and hot links.

McGowan: You're saying 46 Americans died, so we should attack this country. Here at home, 68,000 Americans die a year because they don't have health insurance. So, if we're going to spend billions of dollars on something…

Wolves have a moment of silence for Alex Pretti, after seven seconds of silence several fans yell "FUCK ICE"

Yeah, the civil rights movements were so horrible for EVERYONE! How dare mostly Black Americans expand the rights for all Americans!! Monsters! Well, put the country back the way it was including when poor white men couldn’t vote. Yep, you read that right. But let me stop.

The more you know…

FYI: In 1916 the U.S. signed an agreement for control of St. Thomas, St. John & St. Croix, known as the “Danish West Indies,” in exchange for $25 million & a declaration that the U.S. would “not object to the Danish Govt extending their political & economic interests to the whole of Greenland.

MAGA Inc has already raised $102 million to fight against left candidates in the midterms. You can see some of the major donors. We need to back fighters, resisters, not people who’ll write strongly worded letters.
