Hello! Yes, our application closes on NOVEMBER 5TH! Unfortunately, there was an error with our form but we've fixed it and it should be accessible again! We apologize for the inconvenience!

🍳✨ GUEST ARTIST — HERB! ✨🍳 Amakara is thrilled to announce our guest page artist, Herb ! We can't wait to see how they'll illustrate DekuBaku's complex flavor profile!

GETTING READY FOR DINNER SERVICE! 🍳✨ Our applications will be closing in TWO WEEKS so be sure to get your portfolio prepped for the kitchen! Have questions? Be sure to check out our website for our guidelines or shoot us a question on strawpage! 📍 dkbkcookbook.github.io

🍳✨ GUEST CHEF — VAU! ✨🍳 Amakra is excited to introduce our guest chef, @vau.bsky.social ! We cannot wait to see how he incorporates DekuBaku in the kitchen!

A "for charity" zine donates all proceeds after breaking even to a charity of our contributor's choosing, whereas a "for profit" zine provides monetary compensation after breaking even! Amakara will be a for charity zine!

Hello! We understand that some art styles may be more distinct than others, but keeping things anonymous gives less known artists a chance to shine without follow count being a consideration. Applications are being considered with as little bias as possible, and will only be judged by their merit.

Yes, you are most definitely welcome to include more than 3 art pieces for your portfolio! The only thing we ask that the pieces you select for your portfolio are representative of the style you'd use for the project.

Hello! Our interest check results have been posted! Amakara will be a for charity zine, so please keep a lookout in the future for the charity our proceeds will be going to! Find out interest check results here: bsky.app/profile/dkbk...

Hello! We will not be looking at the metadata for the pieces submitted; so long as your pieces don't include your username, a signature, or identifying information within the body, it will remain anonymous! 🍳 ✨

Thank you for notifying us of this! We have since resolved the issue for writer apps and the form should no longer prompt a section for chef recipes. We apologize for the confusion and for the delay! We look forward to reading your application! 🍳 ✨

The works in your portfolio do NOT have to be unposted! In addition, Izuku and Katsuki should appear at LEAST once out of all of the works included in your portfolio! We hope this clarifies, and if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to reach out! 🍳 ✨

The Amakara team is so excited to make this project a reality, so come hungry, come all, and stay tuned for contributor apps opening soon! 🍳

As for the contents of the zine... our results show that everyone is hungry for a good balance of content as well as a variety of meals in the cookbook, itself! (6/8) 🍳

When it comes to digital merch, many would love to see wallpapers, a special VN game, printables, and more! As for non-LE physical merch, we got lots of interest in stickers, custom recipe cards, and more! (7/8) 🍳

A majority of our responses showed interest in a physical zine & our results are neck-and-neck in regards to the zine being for-profit or for charity, so the team is hard at work to come to a decision! (4/8) 🍳

Most results showed an interest in paying 20-35 dollars for the zine itself and up to 60-75 dollars for a full physical bundle with merch! (5/8) 🍳

Of our 183 responses, 154 responses were in favor of an NSFW add-on... let's see how spicy we can make it in the kitchen! 🌶️ (2/8) 🍳

With 90+ people expressing interest in being a contributor to this project, a majority of people are also interested in seeing a mix of writing styles for this project! (3/8) 🍳

With 183 responses, Amakara is thrilled to see that interest in seeing this zine come to life is OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE, with a rating of over 4.5 stars! (1/8) 🍳
