Nessun dorma Nessun dorma Tu pure, o Principessa Nella tua fredda stanza Guardi le stelle Che tremano d'amore, e di speranza Ma il mio mistero è chiuso in me Il nome mio nessun saprà, no, no Sulla tua bocca lo dirò Quando la luce splenderà Ed il mio bacio scioglierà

Worn coins pile high, Which way does the wind blow? Can my coins catch the wind? I wonder what sound she would make. Would she whistle, or sing on misfortune? Which way does the wind blow? My coins cannot chase. Their eddies twirl and dissipate. How can I sustain?

Another day of reminding everyone of Carl Sagan’s eerily accurate warning about the dangers of not being able to ask skeptical scientific questions to those in power or authority.

Invocation to Fire Come fire, may we learn to stay warm without turning to ash. Fire, who danced before this tongue knew to speak, who strode with foot on bear earth, we know you. Not as wrath nor pain, but as heat.

We remember warmth, a hug, a handshake, a look. The warmth rages now, Looking for a place to take root, Where can heat go that it cannot reach? We are men taught to fear tenderness, to trade warmth for armor. But this armor still burns. The heat contained looking for a way out.

May we learn to hold you again, not in clinched fists, not beneath burning armor. May this hand be a hearth. A place for my flame to burn. A place to radiate from. This is what fire needs. May my warmth nurture, may my warmth not overpower, may my warmth fuel, may my warmth dance, again.
