Just heard a govt minister talk about “precious taxpayer dollars” 😂 as we spend $Bs on AUKUS to create jobs in the UK and USA and fund bases and housing for US marines in WA while locals are homeless. The AUKUS Inquiry report will be released on 4 Nov at the National Press Club

Don’t listen to religious extremist and warmonger Hegseth and his sycophantic mate Marles who claims “shared values” with this obnoxious and dangerous fool. Military experts, politicians, diplomats peace activists, unions, faith groups all oppose the madness that is AUKUS.

RW economists respond to rate rise by calling for, Increased GST, cuts to govt spending and increased productivity. No mention of poor management systems, increased company profits, declining business investment, increased executive salaries. Just screw battling Australians 🤬

Not surprised that the Trump regime is “confident” Australia would join the US “in a good fight”. The good fight is to stop AUKUS, engage in diplomacy and stand for peace not war. We need a Labor caucus that stands against warmongering and promotes peace and security.

Trump prepared to offer bribes to voters, engages in war, attacks allies, dismantles democratic checks and balances and uses his office for personal gain while funding genocide and ethnic cleansing by Israel. Labor continues to pretend we have shared values and funds AUKUS, Why?

As the nation starts to question AUKUS we can expect more speeches like Rudd’s defending the indefensible.No mention of engaging in serious diplomacy, no mention of the fact that the US could not defeat the Taliban, Vietnam, Iraq or Iran.The US cannot defeat China!

Double down with the US says Rudd when discussing China and the US engaging in a war over Taiwan. He asserts we can make sovereign decisions after running the double down line.This is head in the sand nonsense. We should not back the US in a war with China over Taiwan!

I expected more from Kevin Rudd! Defending the AUKUS disaster that locks us into the control of the US military industrial complex is dangerous and the antithesis of sovereignty or independence. Capitulation to the US arms industry will leave us less secure or independent.

The Guardian and Ben Doherty have delivered a must read/ listen expose of how Marles, the ALP and Coalition have allowed the military colonisation of Australia by the Trump regime. This reinforces the importance of the AUKUS Public Inquiry. AUKUS a dangerous, disgusting sellout.

A US Admiral flies in to exercise control over what is a US base on Australian soil. AUKUS is a humiliating surrender of sovereignty to Labor’s US masters. Why has caucus allowed Marles to turn our nation into a servile, simpering, servant of Trump and the US military machine? 🤬

Kim Beazley acknowledging his vested interest in AUKUS. I’m sure he will live up to why his nickname is “Bomber”. Kim is a decent person to deal with however justifying AUKUS expenditure as if we are at war with China is bizarre. He ignores the implications of a war with China.

The UK Defence Secretary honestly outlines what AUKUS is about ! AUKUS is a joint initiative to challenge, contain and attack China if deemed necessary. Not one of our politicians have had the honesty or courage to concede what the Brits declare publicly. We are treated as mugs!

ABC reporting Marles has said Australia wants to integrate more quickly with the US. On what authority does Marles commit our nation to integration with the most dangerous and aggressive nation on earth? What does this mean for our economy and trade with China? Madness!

A good story would be: Public housing for Australians not US troops. Jobs in Australia not the USA and UK. Standing against US hegemony and military expansionism. Creating a defence industry that does not sacrifice our sovereignty Not storing Highly enriched uranium in Australia.

Marles claims “we have a good story to tell” as he boasts about spending more on arms than “most other countries”.A good story would be promoting peace not cuddling up to a warmongering USA and capitulating to Trump and Hegseth. AUKUS is a pathetic surrender of sovereignty!

Briggs describes the UK submarine industry as a swamp that has collapsed. Why can’t our politicians , Labor and Coalition, understand the implications of contracting a failed supplier to “deliver” subs when they themselves are in disarray.

Great to see the ACTU pushing for more public housing and tenancy security for renters in the private market. We build public housing for US military as part of the AUKUS fiasco but not for battling Australians.
