I'm excited for Metroid Ravenous (I have a plethora of Metroid content if you didn't know) but admittedly this year has been so hard on me that I don't feel much excitement for anything really. Excitement and pleasure are feelings that have been heavily muddied life in the past 12 months

I learned a lot about myself during the span of this Riptide. Lots of fun moments (plus a few stressful ones) & kind words that have helped me rediscover my identity after a few rough years, especially 2026 itself. I really lost myself but I am feeling somewhat recalibrated now Appreciate you all

All of the Metroid Ravenous physical merch is sold out. Know that buying something w/ limited function does not change your level of joy from the game. You do not "need" to buy it. It can be fun to collect, but have fun w/ it, don't feel sad for not giving Nintendo more money

I bought everything that I possibly could around Metroid and a lot around Zelda and a few other games. Now I'm trying to sell most of it & just keep the few items that actually mean something to me. Sheer bulk collection is just expensive & a liability to me at this point

If someone told me this several years ago, I probably wouldn't care. But I wish I understood this better a few years ago too At minimum, try not to stress, remember these things are limited to create demand and get you to spend more money, and have fun with the actual game

I used to be this way for most merch of the games I really cared about. Then life got harder. Then I had all this stuff taking up space that I had never even opened or really enjoyed much after purchase. Being a fan does not mean you need to own everything you can.

Oh yeah, and I can start haha - Twitch Partner, been streaming almost 11 years - Got a small lil YouTube, TikTok, + IG going too - Much of this is either Metroid focused, Samus in Smash Bros focused, or Nintendo focused - I used to compete in Smash tournaments around the USA as Samus - I love cats

I also recognize that there is considerable bias here to ask people to repost *my* post, but I feel like I want to start somewhere. I need to take some kind of action to produce a positive outcome for many, even if yes, it also benefits me And hey maybe this falls flat too lol idk. Worth a shot!
