Okay, other than basing, I am pretty satisfied. I like the moody lighting that the undercoat wet-blending created, so going to likely leave the hooves that way, make the bases grim and moody, too. #MiniaturePainting #WarhammerCommunity #AgeOfSigmar #Mordheim

If you're running #Deadlands, and you aren't having a showdown at the OK Corall between the players, the Bayou-Vermillion, the Confederacy, the Iron Dragon, a duplicitous spy and his Eastern-European Vampire lover, AND an ultra-ambitious Mexican warlord...are you really playing Deadlands... #TTRPGs

First time #MiniaturePaintinFirstFin about 2 weeks. Much progress on my Pestigors. Loving the rust so far. Want to dry brush with a dark gunmetal after its dry. Skin needs highlights next Mostly for #Mordheim, but my #BeastsOfChaos always accept new friends! #AgeOfSigmar #WarhammerCommunity

I really love how Discord allows my friends and I to keep playing, even though we live far apart. Below are some excerpts from my #Deadlands d20 campaign. Been running for about 6 or 7 years. One of my favorite aspects of #TTRPGs is getting to cast my npcs.

Ran my #Deadlands campaign for my buddies over the weekend. Several days worth of gaming! The party went to Tombstone, to try to head off a possible clandestine deal between Iron Dragon, Bayou-Vermillion, and the Confederacy. Such a fun time! Screen shot of our Discord channel for time. #TTRPGs

I think the new #Khazalite army looks pretty sweet so far. This guy, though. Why does his arm look wrong? He looks like the shoulder just dislocated mid-swing... #AgeOfSigmar #WarhammerCommunity

I just want to highlight, THIS is what makes #TTRPGs so great: yes, most game systems have rules with classes, and skills, abilities that help define a basic role within the structure, but YOU have utmost freedom to interpret this in story form however you wish!

I want my fantasy #TTRPG party balanced like Lord of the Rings. (A superhuman hobo king, a rich shut-in with a fantasy nuke, a gardener, two trust-fund dipshits, daddy’s favorite authoritarian, an angel cosplaying as a homeless magician, an immortal nepo baby, and a four-foot race war enthusiast)

This blasted phone camera...does these paints zero justice... Here's some more close ups.

Got work done on Pestigors for my BoC and #Mordheim. Snagged the 4th John Blanche box of paint from #TheArmyPainter. Wow. Very smooth! They're just light years beyond regular AP paints. Enjoyed layering up the skin. Next, a coat of probably Malignant Green Speedpaint. #MiniaturePainting

I have yet to see a #MiniaturePainting Snow Effect product for basing that doesn't look like just glops of wet Elmer's glue... Sort of buns me out, because I WANT a good one. It would be neat.

Shout out to the greatest of all Army Painter's Speedpaints, Sand Golem! Grabbed another bottle the other day because mine is almost out. It makes a fabulous basing color, makes a banger of a gold when painted over a silver metallic...just so versatile. Truly a workhorse paint!

My son and I got in a game of #AgeOfSigmar #Spearhead today! My son's Seraphon versus my Soulblight Gravelords! It was HARD FOUGHT, with a final score of 15-14, Seraphon pulling out a narrow victory. Love this game, its very tight and feels fast paced! #WarhammerCommunity

Peter Faulk had MANY great performances, but I want to highlight one of my favorites, because of the joy and whimsy it brings: Max, the loyal sidekick to Jack Lemon's Professor Fate, in The Great Race!

The #CityOfAsh #Skaven #Spearhead is complete. Gonna throw a sealer on it and it'll be game-ready! Liking how they turned out. Bonus: I can use the minis for s Skaven Mordheim warband, too! #MiniaturePainting #AgeOfSigmar #WarhammerCommunity

I've begun highlights on those gloriously spooky cloaks. About 98% through base coats, basing started, some shade wash (dark tone) to the metallics. Going to do Voodoo Wash from Army Painter (favorite for grim tone!) On the clothing. Could be done today... #MiniaturePainting #WarhammerCommunity

My #Skaven Escher #Spearhead is closer to completion. Almost done laying down mase layers. Gotta hit some more metallics, basing, some highlights, and done. #MiniaturePainting #AgeOfSigmar #WarhammerCommunity

Oh yeah, loving how my Marienburg warband ended up. Calling them done. Can't wait to face my son's Undead warband. #Mordheim #MiniaturePainting #WarhammerCommunity

Got some work done on my new #Skaven #Spearhead. I think it's coming along nicely. They are VERY small, which makes slow work for me. Enjoying it though. #WarhammerCommunity #MiniaturePainting

Got some Pestigors put together today, in the hopes of getting a Nurgle #Beastmen #Mordheim warband started. Did some minor kitbashing to make a chieftain and a couple "bestigor." Gonna pad out the rest of the band with some of ky old Gor and Ungor. #WarhammerCommunity

Some updates our #Mordheim warbands. My son knocked out some quick ghouls, having fun with different colors. My Marienburg band need some washes, and touch ups. Not 100% sold on that red. Oh well, having fun! #WarhammerCommunity

My son and I got a good start on our #Mordheim warbands. Still tinkering with the overall scheme for my Marienburgers. Not 100% sold on it yet, but digging the primary colors they use. My son is sticking with a green/purple theme for his Undead lackeys and necromancer. Blood splatters were his idea.

I can't NOT see it.

In Burbank, I often drive by this park where, last year, Ron Howard and wife Cheryl made a very sweet donation on their 50th anniversary: this "kissing chair," two beautifully engraved bronze chairs reversed so a couple can sit and face each other. There's only one problem -

Got many of my Mercenary warband assembled for #Mordheim. While I was at it, we put together a necromancer for my son's Undead warband, too. The #Frostgrave Soldiers kit is pretty darn awesome for kitbashing this, and used extra Cities of Sigmar bits for some as well. #WarhammerCommunity

Some quick and easy scatter terrain, mostly for #Mordheim, but might be able to adapt to other games as well. I have to start texturing and sealing these projects! Then the fun part of painting! #WarhammerCommunity

Listen, all I'm saying is if I have to watch all the X-Men die *AGAIN*, like some messed up comic-inspured snuff film, I'm gonna be upset, Marvel! Let the X-Men live and be cool, like they once did! Feels like they've been dying for over a decade.

We just watched Shang-Chi with the kiddos for their first time (our second), and I really loved it more this time. That's the sign of a good film for me.

Simu Liu says he would “walk through a mile of broken glass” to do a ‘SHANG-CHI’ sequel. “It means the world to me that so many fans responded so strongly to it and are still responding to it.” (Source: @joshuahorowitz.bsky.social)

Was in a weird free-form state of mind, building a ramshackle shelter for #Mordheim, up against a stone foundation. Had a small bit to act as a sewer entrance, which Im very happy with. Got to get onto the greeble and paint for some of these! #WarhammerCommunity

Is it just me, or does this set looked like they were really pinching pennies? That mat looks super flimsy, and the terrain pieces are...fine. The new minis are great, but I feel like this set is half-baked. Put it back in the oven to finish cooking. #WarhammerCommunity #Necromunda
