hachyderm.iodoomsey (@doomsey@hachyderm.io)I guess it's time to finally share this. it's ... not exactly an excerpt from the book I have no idea what to do with. It's a branch, really, something that found its way onto a page, reusing an origi...

This one shot on iPhone! Oftentimes I am not a fan of computational photography. But sometimes it works out. At least with some tweaking. 😅 // #photography

My spouse clocked a photo I took with “old lens vibes.” I can’t show you that one, but they’re real. // 40-year-old lens #photography

“You do pictures of nature, sometimes.” “Like this.” “It’s a good picture right? … Interesting. I didn’t crop it. The focus is a bit off.” “It’s a good picture.” // #photography

Spent the afternoon at a rich asshole estate with my camera and fancy lenses. this is out the window of the car on the way home. // highway #photography

New (to me) toy! Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 AI-S. So glad I was too cheap to buy a system lens! I played with the Fujifilm 90mm f/2, and it was a good lens, but boring. The 105mm on my Fujifilm is the first digital setup I have had with proper affordances for MF. It feels amazing. // #photography

New toy. New to me, anyway. Oldschool. Micro-Nikkor 105mm 1:2.8. The photo off my camera is a zoom into a test shot of my 220 dpi display. Clear pixels. Wow.

A grade-and-crop of the image I posted yesterday, because it deserved one and I couldn’t. But after I did it, I realized something: It’s not the same image at all. Showing the shadows changes the vibe. More moment, less performance of one. // #photography
