Three years into the genocide in Gaza, and one year after a so-called ceasefire was announced, the humanitarian crisis continues. Our new report documents what the genocide and the Israeli army's blockade are doing to Palestinians' health. Read it here: tinyurl.com/y3zh3k96

As the government reopens safe routes for some, two women and a 10-year-old child died trying to cross the Channel. Reopening these routes is welcome. But safe routes for some isn't enough. The UK must do more to play its part in protecting refugees.

Go quiet for 3 months and you can be deregistered from your GP, prescriptions cut off too. GP practice's are calling the process "seriously flawed." The most at-risk are the exact people who need care most. We call for an end to this aggressive patient list cleaning.

🚨 Manchester people! TOMORROW, the Council will vote on a motion saying #NoPalantirInTheNHS. Both Manchester-based NHS Trusts currently use Palantir's Federated Data Platform (FDP). Let's ensure that changes. Ask your Councillor to back the motion 👇 www.emailyourmp.com/palantir.htm

GP practices are cutting ties with the NHS Federated Data Platform built by Palantir, the US firm arming ICE with patient health data. Sharing patient data with immigration enforcement keeps sick people from doctors. Palantir poisons the whole system. Good on them for drawing the line.

46% of GP staff we surveyed in England believed proof of address was required to register a patient. It's not. Everyone in the UK has the right to register with a GP, no ID or proof of address required. Refusals happen anyway, far too often. 🧵

💔💔 Heartbreaking account from an RNLI volunteer. It reminds us that most people in the UK are kind & compassionate. A tiny minority want to stoke fear & racism & receive outsized coverage. They aren't the majority. Diversity is the strength of our country Diversity is the strength of our communities

This weekend, masked men in black swarmed roads in Dover and Portsmouth. We condemn this racist intimidation, unreservedly. We know people across the UK are frustrated and disillusioned with the current system. But this is never the answer.

What can we do to ensure our human rights are defended by the people in power? Because, both healthcare and safety are human rights. They are tenets built to protect, and tenets Britain is built on. They won't go away because a confused mob too ashamed to show their faces decides to shout louder.

This weekend, masked men in black swarmed roads in Dover and Portsmouth. We condemn this racist intimidation, unreservedly. We know people across the UK are frustrated and disillusioned with the current system. But this is never the answer.

Every day, our doctors and nurses hear the stories of people who literally have no other choice but to cross the Channel. Children who ran for their lives. Women who were trafficked. Men who were tortured. We are often the first point of healthcare someone seeking safety finds in Britain.

They are already exhausted and terrified. Some will avoid healthcare altogether because fear has taught them not to trust anyone. What happened this weekend only deepens that fear. We have to ask ourselves, what kind of society are we building?

👀Tommy Robinson’s right hand man Danny ‘Tommo’ Thomas says his new anti-migrant vigilante group exists to protect women and children. So obviously we know what comes next: several of the men he personally “handpicked” have criminal convictions, including for violence against women.

This #WorldHumanitarianDay, aid work has never been more dangerous. There have been 945 attacks on healthcare this year alone. These attacks must stop. And stop going unpunished. International humanitarian law must be respected. Governments must protect humanitarian workers.

🔴 Mass asylum camps are a healthcare violation. For a year we ran a clinic at Wethersfield ex-military site, treating men seeking safety. 68% were survivors of violence. 62% had severe mental distress. 30% suicidal. The Home Office MUST #CloseTheCamps & scrap ALL plans to open more.

Shutting people seeking sanctuary in ex-military barracks is dangerous, traumatising and cruel. And every night in barracks costs over FIVE TIMES more than a night in a home in a community. So can anyone explain why the Government wants to open MORE camps?

This debt will cost people their health. £10,000, charged for support received while banned from working. The Government's debt will pressure people into unsafe work, housing, and poorer health just to pay it off. It's the same trap as NHS charging. You cannot punish people for seeking safety.

Healthcare is a human right, not a privilege. Sweden was found to have violated that right by charging migrants for medical care. The UK Government does the same with NHS treatment. It's time the UK was held to the same standard.

Every day in our clinics, we meet people too scared to get the healthcare they need. New @healthfoundation.bsky.social evidence confirms that charging migrants for care and sharing data with the Home Office is keeping people away from treatment. The NHS must not be an immigration enforcement tool.

The NHS is often part of debates on immigration. But what does the evidence say? Our new briefing finds the average person who migrates to the UK is more likely to work in the NHS, less likely to use health services and contributes significantly to NHS funding. Read more⬇️ https://bit.ly/3SI3ECF

The EU approved far-right plans to share medical data with immigration enforcement for deportations. This is how trust in healthcare is destroyed. Fear of detention and deportation pushes people away from the care they need. We strongly condemn this inhumane policy.
